Hiya LBPC,
In the level I am making the player uses a grappling hook. In one stage of the level, there is a group of sponges that come up from the ground a second or two after the other. They are placed apart a bit. They are being emitted from the bottom of the map and, using a mover, they are taken up towards where the player is. The player then grapples along them until they get safely to the next platform. Think of one of the levels in Eve's Asylum called Fireflies When You're Having Fun and you'll see what I mean.
Anyway, there's no problems there. What is wrong is that whenever the player grapples on these bits of the sponge, they tilt to the side a bit. I have an antigravity tweaker on the sponges set to 99% dampening(otherwise the mover wouldn't work) and 100% anti-gravity. This is what is seeming to cause the problem.As I said before, changing the anti--gravity tweaker to 100% dampening stops the sponge tilting, but stops the mover from activating. Any ideas as to how I could get the sponges to stop tilting?

have the anti grav tweaker turn on only when the sponges have got to their destination, you could also use a gyroscope set to maximum settings too keep them pointed upright.2011-08-10 09:02:00
