Need help with some simple logic

Ok, so Im working on a platforming forest level (The Forgotten Forest) where you collect these secret diamonds (these are just to help you get more points, you can finish the level with collecting any of them.) And these diamonds give you 200 points when you grab them. There are 8 diamonds and I want a (possibly easy) way for the at the end of the level to calculate the amount of diamonds you grabbed in total. Please help me (and maybe try my level once its finished) | 2011-08-10 04:10:00 Author: Unknown User |
I am formulating a reply at this moment, please stand by ;D Put a microchip on each one of the diamonds, wire the grab sensor to a tag (could be any colour as long as all 8 tags are the same). Place 1 tag sensor(anywhere you want) tweaked like this: Set it's radius to 5000 ; Place down a selector with 9 outputs, wire the tag sensor to the cycle input of the selector. Make holograms: 1, 2, 3, 4... etc Put them all on top of each other(I prefer doing it that way). Wire the output #1 of the selector to the 1 made of holo; Wire the output #2 of the selector to the 2 made of holo, etc That should do it. If you don't understand something feel free to say so and I will try to explain better :b Keep on creatin'! | 2011-08-10 04:32:00 Author: Unknown User |
There are 2 easy ways to do this The first is to have your grab switch wired into a tag aswell as your destroyer and points giver, this will pulse the tag when it is grabbed, you would then have the corresponding tag sensor (same colour and label) with radius set to max wired into the cycle input of a selector somewhere else in your level, the selector should have one more output than there are crystals, top out put will be 0 and it will cycle down each time a crystal is grabbed. The other way would be to have a tag on each crystal (no wire connected) then have a selector somewhere in your level with NOT gate or a battery wired into the top input and a corresponding sensor wired into each remaining input of the selector ( a separate sensor for each) the set them all to max radius, the set the top sensor to require one tag, the next to require two and so on, when all crystals are still there it will be at the bottom output and it will cycle up as each is grabbed | 2011-08-10 04:49:00 Author: evret Posts: 612 |
