Project Neon! Well, some of it at least.

Archive: 7 posts

Hiya guys! So it's been quite awhile since I posted a new level on LBPCentral (or did anything at all in LBPC for that matter...), so its time to raise the veil from one of my other creations: Project Neon! But, (uh oh.) it is just a demo. Dont think I put a demo just because I'm lazy, because that's not the reason (or is it? ). I only set it as a demo because of lack of ideas, also how long has it been since I started creating? Seriously though, it also lets people know I'm still active in the LBPCommunity. So take note that this is NOT the full level, it will be much longer (or at least put as much as I can handle ). This level currently focuses on your actions. As you progress in the level, the world around you starts to create itself. Also, this level is also to detect bugs, glitches, or even places which allow you to fall right out of the level. So, please reply to this thread, try out the demo, and if your kind enough, you could suggest a good idea for a level obstacle, suitable for a neon theme! Thanks again for reading.

Free love, chronos453. ^^
EDIT: I republished my level to Neon Dimension, but it's still the DEMO. Is there something I'm missing? :L

Looks promising! I'm going to play it right now.
EDIT: This deserves more plays! It looks great and it's fun! I like the emitting platforms. Nice job!

I played last night and enjoyed it. I like the way the level looks and the gameplay was good. You asked for suggestions and I thought you could implement some power-ups to use. maybe the grappling hook to reach high up switches or something. Maybe grabbinators to move neon colored boxes to their corresponding color to have more of the level emitted. Maybe a couple of hamster tubes thrown in as well. Oh, as far as inserting pictures. Click on that picture frame, in between the earth and film strip, right there on the tool bar, and put the link to the picture, click "OK" and you're done. Oh wait, do you mean uploading pics from LBP to LBP.me. Snap a picture in game then open popit, find picture (stickers and deco) hit square and hit upload. Voila, uploaded to that level's lbp.me photo page2011-08-10 16:29:00

Found it!! I couldn't remember which website I queued this from...

I played and I really enjoyed. The style of visuals have been done before, but not like this. This level had a different style of neon, and it was awesome. The idea of touching those read pads was my favourite part. It was incredibly original.
The gameplay was the kind where you press a switch, then something happens, and you go press a switch some where else. You just keep jumping around the level pressing switches. I really like these kind of levels, I remember them from when I played LBP PSP more. Now in LBP2 the isn't enough of this gameplay. The only thing with this level is there is almost too much of it. Mix it up a little, put some more swinging, jumping, bouncing, grabbing, etc. It will give you more ideas, make the level and make it more fun. And fun is never ever bad

That's about all. Exept that the cake really helped to make this level even better than it already was
