Once again, I need help...

Archive: 9 posts

I'm driving myself crazy with this, so I thought I'd better ask before I delete out of frustration.

I have spent roughly 4 hours creating a level, with a lot of logic which has been challenging for me, and now all that is left to do is to add a quick tutorial using a sequencer with magic mouths, each with their own camera. However, for some reason, no matter which settings I use, IT WILL NOT END. I want it so that when the sequencer has played all the way through, it will revert back to a game camera I have set up.

If it helps, the sequencer is activated by a player sensor.
Thanks in advance

I'd say, place the sequencer on a piece of hologram (if it isn't already) then place a battery at the end of the sequencer hooked up to a destroyer on the hologram. The sequencer should end, activating the battery which in turn, activates the destroyer which gets rid of the sequencer.

Sort of like a hard reset.

If the sequencer is on a piece of material you want destroyed, just place a destroyer at the end of the sequencer.

No need for a battery or wiring outside. It'll sort itself out when the sequencer reaches the destroyer. Poof! Gone.

Also, it's good practice to make sure that the elements aren't touching the end of the sequencer. Having a movie camera stuck on could be a result of this.2011-08-10 07:37:00

a good trick is to put a battery at the end of a sequencer and wire it to the reset input... only works it the sequencer isn't on loop or getting constant signal.2011-08-13 02:32:00

Brilliant. Btw, have you ever noticed a switch just breaking, internally. I spent 40 hours on a level and just as I was about to publish it, one of the intro sequencers just stopped working, it glitched out and replacing it solved the problem. It's def, happened elsewhere too.2011-08-14 01:00:00
