LBPC, ive noticed that the littlebigplanetarium website is generally alot more prettier and smoother. And also the animations are smoother. You should really take some inspiration from them

I guess. But I wouldn't really focus on the looks of the site. This is an AWESOME site. I don't know which one has more activity, but LBPC seems the busiest... HATSACKS UNITE.

It's the software we're using. When LBPCentral started out (over four years ago now), in terms of features, vBulletin was the best forum software around. That's not the case anymore. IP.Board pretty much matches vBulletin feature-to-feature and beats it out entirely on the page load and design front. We're too invested in vBulletin to switch, though, so we make the best with what we've got. We're big believers in "if it ain't broke, don't fix it." If I ever run another fansite (for, say, Mm's secret project ) I'll almost definitely use different software. Whatever's best at the time that decision is made.

Now, I've found LittleBigPlanetarium, I am now an avid blogger on there, but although I started here, I thought they were better. If you could, could you change your board to the IP one? I find that the website runs rather slow on my system, which isn't good as I use forums for pretty major tips, like how to make things...

While I agree LBPlanetarium may be "prettier", the user base and community here on LBPC is arguably the biggest of all the fan sites out there. Personally, aesthetics is at the bottom of the list of what I look for on an LBP fansite. Most people with an account there currently have/have had an account here, and nearly all of the busiest members there are/were equally active at one time here. Personally, I view LBPlanetarium as a sister or companion site to our own, which is evidenced by the fantastic collaboration that recently occurred during the LBP Community Meet. It's a great site, run by some great people, and they've got a great community all their own. CC already covered why we use vBulletin, so there's that. Where you spend most of your time is a matter of preference, and will ultimately boil down to which community you feel fits your needs. Don't judge a book by it's cover, after all. Then again, what do I know... I'm biased.

Prettier? I don't think LBPlanetarium looks more pretty... to be honest I like it's design less. I like the design of here just fine~

The problem with Planetarium is it has less features on an iPod as the computer. LBPC is the same on both. Jus be glad we're not usin the '07 version. That was UG-LY

If anything, I think we should change the background for a more "modern" feel. Maybe the Avalonia background would be cool swapped with the current cardboard.

An Avalonia background covered in paint? my fave color may be white but... I like the cardboard look here myself, it's very LBP feeling. Almost all forums are white or black. it's boring and been done to death.. *mew
