questions about hazbell
Archive: 13 posts
I'm not taking anyones side, but to say im not curious like a cat seeing a mouse run under the door, would be lying. why is it that i've noticed hazbell is very... anti lbpc? what had happened, im pretty sure theres an explanation i can be given. unless of course its a deep dark secret in that case a PM would be fine. i just need more info to know whos at fault. i love the community here, it feels like a refugee camp for anyone who isn't part of the h4h p4p copy publishing community. and i just want to know some of the less talked about things on here. | 2011-08-08 20:48:00 Author: dragonights Posts: 209 |

Who cares? Haters gonna hate. I don't think he cares as much as he's curious, so answering his question would still be of his interest I'd imagine. | 2011-08-09 01:30:00 Author: Silverleon Posts: 6707 |
I believe he was banned a few times here, can't remember why, but I imagine that's something to do with it. | 2011-08-09 01:33:00 Author: Doopz Posts: 5592 |
He created the overlord glitch and showed people how to do it. Because this became publicly known he received a crap ton of hate mail on his LBP profile page and (this is very shaky info) he shut up shop and moved onto other games. I'm not in the know about why he got banned from LBPC though but seeing as he has been, i can see how that would cause him to become so anti LBPC. So yeh, just know that he is the one that created the overlord glitch and therefor is essentially the one behind why the scoreboards have been offline for so long. | 2011-08-09 06:32:00 Author: Epicurean Dreamer Posts: 224 |
Well he discovered the glitch, and then after a little while shared it. This is where it gets messy and political. I understand he has dreams of working in game development especially for Mm. Where the hate comes from is that it looks like after sending the report to Spaff and not getting a prompt response/recognition he shared his discovery. The argument about doing a good thing followed by a bad thing is only a conversation that can be had in retrospect. The concept of jumping into the game stages and checking out their layout is fascinating to me. The glitch would have been awesome for that, adding lasers and bombs to the glitch was an extension of the experiment... As was the score giver. I dont think there would have been much thought about 'should I do this' but more of a 'can I do thi's. The score giver worked and he passed on the object to Mm. Can't hate someone for that. Showing people it afterwards also probably wasnt malicious, as I said it is very cool to be able to check out stages like this. But this is where it went wrong. I think he hoped some recognition from Mm would be great but the community recognized the potential for mischief faster and others took it a little far. The genie is out of the bottle and the scoreboards get shut down... Shoot the messenger. Haters gonna hate. And all that. Personally, I had just published a stage where I planned to give out prizes based on scores but wasn't sure where to set the goals. And am unable to do so. But if this is all that I have in my life to be angry about, then life's pretty good. I think people forget that. So no hard feelings from me, but I do think that if his intention was to get a job with Mm, it wasnt the best course of action. Again. Hindsight. A personality trait of getting that excited about something, thinking that (in the grand scheme of things) it means fame, and maybe taking things a little too far before thinking of consequences; isn't really a good thing on a forum, so I'd guess he may not have felt he was being responded to and it went a little awry. Dont really know that part, but maybe the most hate toward him is from members on this and site? | 2011-08-09 07:44:00 Author: Mr_Fusion Posts: 1799 |
i agree it wasn't like he was trying to be maliciouse to the community. as a matter of fact he simply wanted to get some credibility at mm. and he lost an MM pick. i think he deserves some sympathy, that being said, releasing info like that to the comunity... a whole nother tale. and if you check his comments he has over 6000 troll messsages, and get more daily. poor guy. gotta feel bad, he WAS a decent creator too, is this what happens when the creator messes up?? i mean in the grand scheme any one here can get villianised and im kind of worried about that... make something usefull turned villianized is the worst thing i can think of. any way, i haven't learned anything i didn't allready know, but i was basicly asking why he was banned, was it spam, or really just his villianization? | 2011-08-09 08:47:00 Author: dragonights Posts: 209 |
Yea well not having the scoreboard kinda make me not ''love'' him so much. There many new amazing ''useless'' Mini games in some part because you can't save your score :/. + I remember him calling the lbpcentral community awful which mean terrible. I don't appreciate that much neither. | 2011-08-18 02:25:00 Author: Sport_dude Posts: 622 |
He was banned before overlord, for threatening a DDoS attack on LBPC. I have heard that LBPC was somewhat responsible (though I dont really see how) for getting his Mm pick taken away for being a beta import, but since he recently got it back and got to visit Mm to and see it picked himself.. The removal issue is outdated. | 2011-08-29 20:50:00 Author: Dortr Posts: 548 |
@dortr thank you i was trying to figure that out | 2011-09-17 18:59:00 Author: dragonights Posts: 209 |
I wouldn't be so quick to defend him. The question of how malicious he may be is out the window. He has caused only trouble for LBP, why is it on a daily basis I see his ridiculous scores on top of the score boards joined by the many people like him? Why is it people keep popping up with yet another case of harassment against him? It's a case of the (very much) wrong type of person stumbling across an opportunity. Being the type of person he is, of course he had to use it for malicious purposes. Did he really think reporting a glitch would get him a job? I think he has ruined any chance of that. If he had any to begin with. | 2011-09-17 19:31:00 Author: Littlebigdude805 Posts: 1924 |
May be missing something but.. Does anyone else think it's a bit curious he still has a Mm pick for The Popit Sackbot (http://lbp.me/v/0dmd8x) even though he made the overlord glitch..? | 2011-09-18 05:00:00 Author: anoken Posts: 1654 |
Okay. I'm gonna lock this one now. Whatever his perceived 'crimes' may be, LBPC is not the place to malign other creators, so if you must, take it somewhere else. Thanks! Locked. | 2011-09-18 11:13:00 Author: Aya042 Posts: 2870 |
