I play guitar, have been for about 2 1/2 years, I'm not very good, but I do enjoy it. Right now I'm trying to learn Christmas Canon Rock by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra in time for Christmas but the solo is giving me fits.

Oh, and I have a Stratocaster.

I play guitar. I've been playing a year and a half and I'm doing a music performance course at college. I'm also in a band with pals as part of the course but we've only gigged twice so far so we're not exactly experienced. ^_^

I'll record some of our stuff early next year and show you how bad, I mean rad we are.

I play an Ibanez Iceman through an almighty Peavey Valveking 212. I play an abundance of styles but I'm mostly about the modern rock and metal.

(Not mine specifically, I just googled it.)

Oh, and @ Chaz'OSkulls, is that the same guitar that Sam wotsisface plays in DragonForce?

Dude this thread is old, check out the thread called 'Guitarist' in the media forum, it's much bigger, filled with more info and therefore likely more helpful 2009-08-05 17:10:00

I play a baby-blue epiphone strat, and like to run a digitech rp-6 (big blue effects pedal) and fender bullet as monitor. Not my main instrument, but I've been playing for...I forget. years.

*sniff* --I miss my danelectro.

I've not kept count for how long i've been playing, but that kinda shows it's a fairly long time

Honestly i don't really know what my guitar is :S
Bought it second hand from a music shop for ?250, sounds good though!

I also have a 'Yamaha acoustic FG-4150' or something like that...im not so into names, just the sound! That little baby has been the key behind my music levels!

I got my first guitar when I was 13 as a birthday present and I'm 25 now so I guess that means I've been playing for over 10 years... wow.

Started playing electric but eventually switched to pretty much using acoustic exclusively. My current guitar is an Ovation Celebrity CC44 which I got for half price. I'm not a big guitar tech nut so I got it more for the asthetics than anything else. I like the way the sounds holes aren't in the middle of the body and the patterned design. Sounds good though and the built in tuner is very handy.

fine looking guitar there! I got my first when I was 15. It was my father's Dano. It had been sitting in the closet for years all neglected and lonely-like. It was true love, and my dad never got his guitar back.2009-08-12 20:49:00

I'm also learning to play a dobro..not sure if that exactly counts as a guitar, but man, I love the sound of it. there's a local guy who gives lessens...every time I think I'm getting okay with it, I just go listen to him play, and it puts me right in my place! lol2009-08-13 15:23:00

My main guitar is an Epiphone Les Paul Gothic Studio.
I've been playing for 5 years.
I've been taking lessons for 5 years (ever since I got my first guitar I took lessons).
Do I enjoy it?
Yes, I really do, I'm starting to perform, etc.
To think about it, I spend $80 a month for lessons.
I've been playing for 5 years, so that's 60 month; 60x80=$4800.
If I'm paying almost $5000 dollars just on guitar lessons, of course I have to enjoy it =P
I'm still taking lessons, and I don't plan to quit, really.
