simple music box question

I have music in a level attached to some logic that is active at the start of the level, but the music never activates. Shouldn't the music start playing? Am I missing something very simple?

I know the logic is active, but just to be doubly sure I placed a light just above the music box, and attached it to the same logic. It works as expected.

Maybe you have turned down the global music volume by accident? Can you still hear the music if you tweak the Music Object/Music Sequencer?2011-08-06 23:48:00

or sometimes when capturing music... if the moving bar on the sequencer is active when the music is captured, there will be no sound when the music is placed no matter what logic you attach... if this is the case simply open the music sequencer and reset the bar by pressing square (so that it dissapears) your logic should allow for activation now

Thanks guys. I think I figured out the problem.

The music looks for an activation signal (signal switching from off to on). Since the signal was already active when the level started there was no activation happening, so the music never started.

I was hoping to turn the music off and on using the attached signal, but ended up using a selector to switch between it and another piece of music with 0 volume on it to simulate the off state.
