Erase Ownership Details on an Object you Made?
Archive: 6 posts
In LBP1, switching to a guest controller and capturing an object you made erased all ownership details on that object, saying it was made by "MM_Studio". The reason this was good is that you could still edit it as if it was a normal object that you made! On LBP2, guest capturing is disabled. I have an object (that I made) that I wish to erase ownership details from, so does anyone know another way around this? | 2011-08-06 19:11:00 Author: RibShark Posts: 83 |
I can't think of any way to do this. What I also can't think of is why you'd want to erase ownership details--unless you copied something someone else made and wanted to take credit for it. | 2011-08-07 00:27:00 Author: xero Posts: 2419 |
If you made the object, why would you not be able to edit it without erasing ownership details? | 2011-08-07 01:09:00 Author: tdarb Posts: 689 |

I wish to give it away in a level, but still be completely editable to whoever uses it. | 2011-08-07 07:21:00 Author: RibShark Posts: 83 |
In LBP1, switching to a guest controller and capturing an object you made erased all ownership details on that object, saying it was made by "MM_Studio". Not quite. Capturing an object with a guest controller just doesn't associate any ownership info with the captured object - it won't remove any existing ownership info. Ownership info is associated the first time a non-guest controller captures an object. The reason this was good is that you could still edit it as if it was a normal object that you made! Not true either. Editability is determined by a fairly brain-damaged algorithm based on the state of the object[s] you capture. The algorithm changed in LBP2 circa patch 1.02, and any multi-object captures since this point are no longer editable from prize bubbles. I think you can still capture a single piece of material tho'. | 2011-08-07 20:54:00 Author: Aya042 Posts: 2870 |
I wish to give it away in a level, but still be completely editable to whoever uses it. Ah, I see. That's understandable. | 2011-08-07 21:22:00 Author: xero Posts: 2419 |
