War Is Prejudice!

Archive: 7 posts

Recently Picked up Section 8: Prejudice off PSN for the princely sum of ?9.99;

I have to say - that this has to be one of the best "Bang for Buck" games I've ever bought.

When you consider what you get for ?12 for a CoD Map Pack -
And then consider that for ?10 - you could get Section 8: which has a single player campaign - 4 player online co-op and 32 player multiplayer. You'd be mad not to buy it.

Especially because the game totally kicks butt.
If you overlook the graphics (which are servicable) - underneath the generic FPS gameplay is actually wealth of strategy.
The way you can spawn anywhere on the map - and call in deployable Turrets/Vehicles etc in real-time is awesome.
And there's a VAST amount of character customisation available - it puts CoD to shame;

Aswell, it has an online stats portal and clan support.

All in all - you get ALOT of game for just ?10.

If anyone is on the fence regarding this game - I would say GET IT. You won't regret it.

I believe there may be a demo yes... though don't quote me on that;
I just read some favourable reviews from a few trusted sources and decided to take a chance.

It's a Sci-Fi shooter similar to Halo - (In that you have Sheilds and Armour - aswell as Jet-Packs and a super-sprint).
But it's the deployables that make this game great.

It's all about tactical choices over what/where/when you call in the deployables. Sensor Arrays/Supply Depots, MiniGun Turrets/Missile Turrets, Hover-Bikes/Mechs... each with it's own strengths and weaknesses.

Oh yeah, and there's also Random Missions that happen during the games that add alot of variety to the game play - so while you're playing away, you occasionally get these random dynamic missions that you can complete for extra points.

It's a really great game (if you like your FPS)

Huh, sounds interesting... It might not get that big of a following, but it still sounds good.

Any chance its on Live, as well? Seems like a game my IRL friends would fall in love with.

It is available for XBOX Live also.

It really is a cracking game.. It's like Halo - but with brains.

Something about me & this game have just clicked - I'm regularly getting the top score across both teams, even when I'm on the losing side. You just have to use the terrain/deployables to your advantage.
