Sack in a Box
Archive: 8 posts
I've just published my latest level. In some ways its similar to my Puzzle Rooms level but it has its own mechanics. Its a one player level but other players can watch and you can swap at at any time. When I first heard about LittleBigPlanet2 I was so excited about the sackbots. This levels comes from the first idea that I had. The idea is that you have to get the coloured sackbots into the correct boxes. The player can use L2 and R2 to swap between them. http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=35946 Like Puzzle Rooms its layed out in a series of rooms. The puzzles aren't too difficult but there may be a couple of rooms that take some time to figure out what to do. http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=35944 http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=35947 http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=35945 Have Fun http://lbp.me/v/4mpchh | 2011-08-04 10:21:00 Author: SneakySteve1983 Posts: 121 |
I love puzzlers and liked your previous one, I've just played this and really liked it. You have once again created a nice puzzler, with simple but clean visuals and a solid idea. My only complaint is that sometime, you just don't know which sackbot you're controling. I know it's displayed in the background of each level, but I have some cheap death because I moved the wrong one. But appart from this minor issue, it was a solid puzzlers, with some really cool ideas. I really enjoyed the last puzzles, where you have to think and plan how you will use your sackbots to solve the puzzles. Congrats ! If you have the time to return the F4F favor, please check my BLOCKS level (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=60020-BLOCKS-1-PLAYER-ONLY-Puzzle-Platform-Exploration-level). | 2011-08-04 11:44:00 Author: Slurm Posts: 262 |

Ooh, just played this one, really nice! Is it me, or are the fourth-to-last and second-to-last rooms much harder than the others? For the fourth-to-last, your placement and timing has to be spot on, as not only do you have to grip onto the other sackbot and hope you get a reduced bounce with enough height as opposed to a normal bounce, but I found that you also have to switch sackbots midair to ensure that both of them land on the platform. Brutal! Second-to-last was a little easier, albeit you had to judge the trajectory of the sackbot really well to avoid both the spikes and having your sackbot change layers midflight so that it bangs into the wall and falls into the abyss below. Have to admit, the last one wasn't so hard. It didn't take long to figure out that the blue sackbot had to swing to the side with the sponge button on it while the yellow/white (not sure which bot) already there stands on it in the meantime. The hardest part was making the jump to the middle part for the yellow/white sackbots. :/ But I digress, I love puzzles, and this one was a blast! | 2011-08-04 22:11:00 Author: Vector-Espio-Fan Posts: 119 |
This was a level i really enjoyed. The puzzles were very interesting and i really liked the fact that you had multiple sack bots to control. The transitioning from one to another was really easy. There were some parts where you had to be accurate in your planing and jumpingbut i assume that is all part of the challenge. I couldn't find anything wrong with the level so there is not much i can say really. If you can could you please test this level for F4F https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=55620-Horror-Survival-Deadville-Hollow-Open-world-exploration I really want to know how fun it is beause it just isn't getting the plays i was hopeing for. | 2011-08-08 02:56:00 Author: Lordwarblade Posts: 761 |
Great level. I thought the presentation was lovely, and the gameplay was simple and innovative. It wasn't too difficult either, it was usually my own stupidity that held me back (as was the case with Portal 2 ). Slurm mentioned that he found it a bit difficult to see which one he was controlling, I kinda agree, though I didn't have any major problems with it. You could just have a small holo dot that appears above the sackbot you're controlling (with a follower attached) to make a little clearer. But it's not majorly important. Good job. A yay and a heart from me. I don't have any levels that I want feedback for at the moment (they're all pretty much dead now). but could I reserve you for feedback when I bring out my next level? Thanks for the good feedback I've added a hologram like you suggested. I've given the option to turn it on and off by pressing the L3 button. @ Ali_Star Whenever you have a level ready then send me a message and I'll give it a go | 2011-08-08 13:03:00 Author: SneakySteve1983 Posts: 121 |
