im planning to make a pixar shorts of the claw from toy story 1, Now if i put my own twist to it. is that ok?

Yes. It's perfectly okay! It is always okay to create derivative works of any intellectual property in LBP using available materials. Even if there was no Toy Story pack, you would be allowed to do this. It's protected as parody and does not infringe on commercial law, which is essentially the aspect of copyright law that matters in this case. The release of the Toy Story pack is an invitation to create as many variations of stories as you like. CAVEAT: You should not take photographs of licensed Toy Story media (such as screenshots from the actual films, other games, etc.) and upload them to your level. While this is also a protected action, it's a bit more risky. Strange quirk of copyright law: you can create something in the game that's an exactly copy of what's commercially sold in stores and share it with millions of people freely and it's not considered infringement or piracy. But if you take a single photo of something and share it, that's violating all sorts of tiny laws (that are newly invented since the Internet got popular, and aren't clearly defined between countries, etc.)
