PSP profile and my will to play my PSP gone.

Archive: 8 posts

Well my PSP randomly turned off and when I turned it on it was like it was a brand new system where I had to do the initial setup and make a profile. I can't sign back in because for some reason my psp wont accept my network so I can't activate the system and play my games. So yeah! Anyone else ever have the problem where it randomly deletes your profile?

I'm sick of the glitch's with the games and the system and this is the final straw. And I had just started work on an awesome level "To kill a mocking duck"! I think I'm going to retire my PSP and stop going to the PSP side of the site after my level dies down because I love to hear what people think about the stuff I created. Well its been a fun ride people. Maybe i will be back with the Vita though and get my awesome level idea done . So see ya later PSP community.

Sorry to hear that happened. Well, I'll see you on the Vita also, I guess.

Don't leave. If you follow my easy steps in my guide "LBP PSP Create for Dummies" in the Tutorials section, your profile should never corrupt and this will not happen to your PSP. I haven't had a profile corruption ever since I came up with those steps.

Goodness, man. your'e really leaving the psp side? eventually, almost everyone will have a vita, and people like me who can't afford a vita will be stuck with millions of uber noobish levels. it's hard to find good levels these days. like WoodburyRaider said, just follow his steps. i think that the most common reason profiles may be corrupted, is that people don't follow one little step: SAVE!!! Not when you change to play mode, or when you return to the main menu. before you do any of that, hit start, and select Save. It just takes an extra 2 seconds to give your profile and your level some extra insurance.2011-08-01 17:53:00

My LBP profile isn't corrupted I don't think. My actual PSP profile is gone and I have to reset up my internet connection which takes about fifty attempts for it to connect. If I can just get my dumb PSP to connect to my network I think I would be back in the game but as of now my psp doesn't seem to like my networks security!

EDIT: Connection is a go!!!! Thanks for the tips WoodburyRaider! I will surely use them to help stop some common problems I have always had with create mode thanks! Crisis averted I am back in the game!

Hmmm, well that's a whole different issue. Just remember to back up your stuff as you don't need internet for that.

It's helpful, and it appears no one is using it. Or maybe they just don't want to admit they did because they don't want to be seen as a dummy. Sadly, they did not read the fine print that told them they were not dummies.
