Hiya guys! Like the title says. I imagine this is something they'll include in LBP3. - data log (like "history") in text form for all Create mode actions - color coded history of adding/removing objects, logic, errors, player actions, etc. - ability to select text and "jump" to that point in Create mode This would be great not just for keeping track of information in a tidy text file, but to identify steps when levels get huge and complex, and to output a simplified form of how something was created. We're creating levels after all! This is typically done on computers with programming tools that do exactly what I'm talking about. Why not have a version of it in the game itself? We could export the text files and share them, upload to lbp.me or email from in the game, all sorts of things. Great for streamlining the creative process without taking up lots of space. (Also I see this as an elegant way of keeping track of player behavior when Good Griefing someone. If such a data log were generated and saveable not just for Create but for Play, with text conversations, etc. it would take the wind out of the sails of certain complaining players, while also showing proof of bad behavior when players do act badly. For example if someone shows up in my Moon and deliberately glitches me, places a rude object and deletes it, or uses bad language, it would all be right there in plain, easy-to-read format.)

Good Idea. I know MMO's have this just to keep track of everything that is going on, why not lbp? It would help with the good grief stuff. It would also help make creating easier, and anything that adds to create mode I'm 100% for.

Yesterday, a friend was creating a new level for about an hour, and then some friend wanted to join him so he let him join, but as soon as the friend joined everything in lbp freaked out and he lost all his progress on the level and couldn't load his last save on his moon. He reset his ps3, but still it wouldn't load so he had to start over. Idk what happened either, I was messaging him in psn during this. I think maybe a data log might help give an idea of wtf happened. At least it would prove that his friend messed everything up and he could report him if he wanted to.

It would be really nice if you could go through your history and jump to that point. Have you ever spent a few minutes working on some logic to find out that you did it all wrong. You then have to undo 50 times to put it back to the way it was. It would be great if I could just look through my history and jump to the point before I screwed everything up.
