I went to the movies today and saw Cowboys and Aliens. Here is my review. To start with, I thought this movie wasn't going to be that great. I couldn't believe the idea of cowboys shooting up aliens instead of bandits. After seeing it though, I have to say I was wrong. It starts with our lead hero (played by Daniel Craig) in the middle of the desert with memory loss, little clothes, and a piece of iron around his wrist. A group of three guys surround him with guns drawn. He simply beats them up with his bare fists (except for one, he punches this guy off of his horse and then pumps lead into the dead center of his chest). He takes their stuff and goes to the nearby town. He meets a bunch of new people and causes a stir. He is put in jail for being a notorious criminal named Jake. Then the aliens come and abduct a bunch of people. Here's where I thought the movie would be nothing but a straight forward rescue mission to save the abductees. There are actually a lot of twists and turns along the way which help improve the overall plot. My favorite part had to be when the indians appeared to actually aid in the fight against the aliens. It truly shows the relationship between the settlers and Native Americans and how they try to get along. I really liked this movie. It wasn't trying to be too serious with itself, but still had a serious tone that some cowboy movies have. The aliens are still the same kind of shrimp-type aliens with claws, which I would've liked to see a different approach to. Still, this is the kind of movie that you would go to the movies to see, and I say it's definitely worth it. <3 <3 <3 <3 :star:

haha i remember my brother saying there's a ninja versus aliens,cowboys versus aliens,why dont they make a ninjas versus pirates??(btw ninjas versus aliens is part of the ALIENS franchise except it was a straight to dvd release.)
