Hello, In case you don't know, Morrowind is Part of the Elder Scrolls series by Bethesda Game Studios. Its set in Morrowind
(Of Course), set on the island of Vvardenfell, a hostile island in the middle of Morrowind. You are a prisoner sent from the Imperial City to Morrowind, ignorant to role you play in Morrowind's future.

The level is being lead by Ironpyrite, and I'm the co-leader. We started production a while ago, although he's been brainstorming and building some logic systems for awhile now, and we've both made Morrowind levels in the past. But now with LBP2, we can create the Morrowind we've always wanted to make. So now that were done with introduction we can get on to the other stuff, enjoy!

And if anyone doesnt know the game, I've included a fancy trailer for you

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3eEAghBNkV0

Spell, and sword combat with different weapons and armor with varying damages based on skill. Plus Other spells with other functions such as healing, levation, summoning, and other.
Dungeons, quests, exploration, leveling, and full town slaying (If you choose ), and more gameplay!
(Hopefully) Working maps, and travel with boats and Silt Striders and some travel with scrolls.
Lots of factions and quests for them, with there own rewards and benefits
Create your own creator, and forge your path in the world.
Fully detailed environments with day and nights cycles and wheather
Full conversations with fully decorated civilians.
And more! (That I forgot to mention)

Hmm, I'll help with the logic. It's a not too good idea to have 2+ people on logic, because there are many ways people use. Count me in though 2011-07-31 04:10:00

Funny... some of these projects never see the light of day. Elder scrolls is a huge game... you think you have a chance. I put 300+ hours into Morrowind and still didnt even collect and see all the hidden gems of the game.2011-07-31 04:28:00

Well that wasn't very encouraging.
And yeah, I know, its a huge game. But me and him have no intention of recreating the ENTIRE game. That would be a bit ridiculous.
We have a general idea of where to stop, which is mabye around level 7-10, mabye. But nothing is offical yet. We might do more, we'll probably do less. Hard to say.

But yeah to I_Love_Logic, we'd love the help. You can send a friend request to me, or him, Or I could send one to you. Your choice.

And also to freedomna, we'd also like some opinions and thoughts, ideas, ect. From some one who has played the game and liked it enough to want to make a level about it. Lol
But we dont really need more costume makers, but we'd still like thoughts and ideas at this point.

Hey,

I personally am a huge fan of morrowind, by far the best installment in the series in my opinion...

If there are logic based things that I could help with, or item making, I am a big fan of building mechanisms and wouldn't mind throwing a contribution to the pile if you need it. It seems a little vague the things you seem to have listed as needs though, are there specific things that you would be interested in getting done? like enemies or daedric shrines or dwemer ruins or something?

Anyway, let me know what kind of things need to get done, and I'll let you know if theres anything that I can think of to contribute

Well that wasn't very encouraging.

I think he means... your like me.
We come up with ideas, and plan huge projects out of them, thinking into every step. But a lot of the time, what we create never gets finished.
Before I YLOD'd, I was working on a project I was seeing as 'the one'. A project I'd actually finish, no matter what. When I get a new PS3, I'll copy over the Demo level and carry it on. Sure I've lost a lot if I can't regain my save, but thatjust more encouragment to keep at it.

I'm not sure why, but I like to do things on my own. I feel like, if I'm in a team, something will happen that I don't agree on and there will be a large dispute over it all. I like things done my way, that's just me.
I feel your probably the same way, but if you managed to get a team together, one that will do all you ask... You could have something Big on your hands.

*A wild Adriex appears*

Oh, well hello there again. Pardon my current inactivity to LPB, but I have been away for the past month and will be returning in a short six days.
You know how I am about logic of course, and I would be happy to commit all the assistance you need. Any time I'm on just let me know if you need some help. Logic, costumes, ideas, concept, you name it. Happy to oblige. Maybe I'll brainstorm a little in my spare time before I get home. In any case, I'm in when you need me.

~Adriex~

P.S. I forgot to add that I have beaten morrowind and oblivion entirely, so I have plenty of knowledge of the games to help. Modded them to death on a pc as well, but that's besides the point.

Well, I think I've been on my lonesome for quite too long.

I'm here to offer my assistance. I'm still training myself in music making, and level design isn't my highest point- I am more of a logic fanatic and idealist.

My PSN is "Ryuhza". I haven't got a microphone or anything, but I can type fast enough.

Also, why have you got the Skyrim symbol in the logo? More recognizable? .__.

Hi SpartanDude924.
Sorry for the late reply, I thought i replied to your post a second time, but it didnt register.
I was going to suggest (and I'm sure your level is coming on great) a few ideas that might help.

Get up all your logic on the sackbots/characters (stats, combat, inventory etc.( up first. This will mean that you have all the messy logic out of the way first (and a working game- As once trhis is done and saved as objects it will leave you free to create your locations etc, and you will get an idea of how much thermo is left free to create the world.
If you find your running high on thermo space, split your level via level links (eg. If you need to explore say, a tomb, you could have a main chamber and place a load of level links leading off it (maybe to small crypt or tunnel or that-think of the level links like doors)

I'm ok at logic and visual effects and locations- if you friend me in game, i'd be glad to help out

Sean, thats actually not quite a bad idea, we do have somewhat of an old system working, but Im thinking were going to build a new one.
And the reason the first post is short, is becuase I tried to keep it brief since its still quite early in dev.

Hi Spartandude. I think the top down map idea of Marcus the fish is a brilliant idea. And I also have some cool ideas for how to implement the quests side of things.
I'd be on board for location design and different things if you like, Just invite me and i'll b e happy to help out where i can

Hey again, I suppose I didn't really ask to register before did I? Well, I can help with logic, costumes, & idea + suggestions. I'm happy to do all you like, and as I said I've played the game myself as well. Whichever spot you feel you'd like me in most is good, but I do best in logic I think. I'll be playing the game again in a few more days, so it would be wonderful to get back in to the swing of things after being on vacation a little while o.o2011-08-04 16:08:00

Hi there. I was recently working on a team building a Skyrim level. Sadly the leader lost heart and the project fell through a month or so into development. I was lead logician, and also non-officially the one putting most of the lore accurate narrative into the plot line due to me being an avid ES fan. I would be really interested in checking this project out.

Have a look at this thread (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=51290-SKYRIM-Challenge-of-the-North-%28Development-Thread%29&highlight=skyrim) and search out my posts to have a feel for the kind of stuff i could bring to this project. You could also take a look at my recently published level (link in sig) as an indication of what I'm capable of as a creator.

as a note to-put, I am extremely familiar with the intricacies of the LBP engine, have built some very complex components including an entire working set of Binary arithmetic chips, Registers, Magnitude comparators, binary to BCD/ BCD to 7 segment conversion units, in the digital domain, and on the analogue side, I am capable and understand well the process of analogue signal propagation and administration for whatever means necessary ( a recent post (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=60996-100-point-Health-and-energy-bars.-Help-please!&p=900017&viewfull=1#post900017) i made for someone regarding a simple stamina system is a good example of this).

I would be very interested in getting involved in this project. cheers, Dreamer.

Wow, we're getting alot of logic requests. Thanks guys, but we cant have everybody helping. I'll talk with Iron and narrow down the list. Thanks for the support.

And about the topdown thing, me and him both agree, it takes away on the immersive aspect of the game so we feel we should just keep it as is. Sorry

You could do... both?

As an exploring, regular screen, have it top down. Then anything immersive, switch to the players view (Ie: Combat, trading, conversations)?

As in the Demonstration of Skyrim, you could make a "World Map" from a top-down view point. Then use that to transport between the towns.

My specialty is platforming and costumes.
Although if you want any promotion for your level I am making a tv sorta level, which I and some other players will be making. Before or after or most likely inbetween shows, you can create a commercial for your level showing a few sneak peeks, this will give your level a big bang, as you can say "as seen on LittleBigToons"
here is the link if you are interested: https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=61267-LittleBigToons-(HELP-WANTED) READ COMMERCIAL SECTION
REPLY ON THE TOPIC
Also if you or you know someone who will be interested in creating a show for the series, refer them to the link
Just message me on the topic, on LBPC or PSN and i'll get right on it

You basicly just advertised your project on my thread, and that's not the purpose of this thread.

Hi Spartandude.I was on with the guys checking out the basics the other night. I can tell everyone, I was instantly impressed. I can see this project being a complete success and the guys are really on the button with thier graphics and logic, I wish them the best of luck I thing you all have a great game here. Why not get some people on board to do voices for the npcs. Having seen the graphics, its too good to make it top down, although I think there should be a controller key combo that will flip up the map. maybe a stat screen (showing stuff like health, armour class, cash, quests completed etc) thenj from then button functions to bring up different screens (like TRIANGLE-MAP, X-INVENTORY, etc) and in every screen have the same button (say CIRCLE) go back to the first stats screen. You could have a receiving DCS on eack menu screen to do the different screens options.
One idea I was thinking of was that you could have locations on the map (like towns) be related to level links, so when say you select a town on the map, it woun activate that particular level link.

Well about the menu stuff, We basicly just copying the controls and stuff for that, and Iron has already made a test version of the menus and combat, and it works quite well. And we're trying to stray away from level links because of the characters level, inventory, and stuff like that. I know there is data transfer between links, but it wont work on a scale like this, sadly

No problem buddy. It seems my friend you guys have pretty much all the bases covered.

Just on the voice part- Maybe i'm wrong, but maybe I wouldnt copy the voices and that directly from the game, no offence to the grat job you guys are doing, but just be worried that that might be infringing on the copyrights on the morrowind game itself. Just saying, maybe just check into it first as a precaution my friend.

Well if I can lend a hand any where, be glad to

Hi Spartandude.
I'd like to see 'ship travel' in the game, maybe in just the main routes (Ebonheart-Hala Oad-Gnar Mok-Khuul-Tel Mora-Tel Branora). Side quests could take you off the main map to places like Sadrith Mora or Raven Rock, So you could concentrate the game around the main landmass. Ebonheart has to be in there.
Definitely side quests and hidden locations throughout the land. Each level could be a town. So for example, Tel Mora might be a whole level complete with enterable buildings and people.

Yes, where doing boat and silt strider travel and all the fun side quests.
If where going to do a level, we got to keep the feel. And yes I agree Ebonheart needs to be there. Lol, very awesome place.
We are going to have dungeons, and faction quests, side quests, some of the main quest and all fun exploration.
Don't worry, we wont miss the good stuff. But after you test, and we didn't include something, please let us know.
