Chrismas light offened non-christains

Archive: 24 posts

Some thing happened near where i lived
This guy was told to take down his chrismas light because it offended Non-christains?

I dont see why chrismas light offened non chistains can some one help me out here. This also takes the buiscut, because Christmas is a national holiday and has be a tradition for years, and some makes you take your chrismas light down because it offened them.

Edit: Im not looking for an aggrument but can some one point out how chrismas light offends any one who is not christain

They might as well say that Christmas cannot be celebrated in a certain area as it offends non-Christians. That's just ridiculous.2008-12-17 21:48:00

I'm as non-Christian as someone could get, and even I think this is ridiculous.

I mean, if the Jesus figure was shown in a public place, then yeah, I would be offended, because that violates the separation of church in state. But lights alone are in no way offensive. OMG! Electromagnetic radiations are so offensive! :3

You know what, I'm gonna restrain myself from posting what I want to say, and sum it up with a "Completely Utterly Ridiculous".

Other answer will be located on MSN if need be lol.

Yeah my local schools have been told they're no longer allowed to have a nativity play as it is offensive to the kids and parents that do not celebrate Christmas
I think it is totally ridiculous also.
Things like this are getting too much now where everybody is too scared they may offend other people by celebrating what they believe in.
I mean when the football is on they have said were not allowed to display our St.Georges cross even as it may offend others
IT'S OUR NATIONAL FLAG FOR GOD'S SAKE !!!!!

Private schools I can see having nativity plays but public schools?

That's pushing it IMO.

Ah well, non-Christians people can always explain to their children that it is is just a play.

But still, yeah, I think nativity scenes belong in churches or Catholic, private schools.

Christmas lights are fine though.

As long as it is completely voluntary to perform and watch, I have no problem with it.
It should be extra-curricular, not during school hours.

I mean, shouldn't they be learning at school?

What happened to doing Shakespeare plays? We did Macbeth. I was the doctor. :hero:

Then Santa plays. I played Santa when he got stuck in a chimney when I was 8. Good times. I challenge anyone to give me a reason why Santa offends them.
