Well doesn't this suck...

Archive: 11 posts

I wasn't looking where I was going and stepped on my PS3 Controller. I hear a snap so I checked the controller. The only thing broken is the R1 and R2. Stinks because it was the one of the first controller we got with the PS3

I hope I can get it fixed up by GameStop or something. We only got 3 left so I'm not to worried.

That sucks. At least you still have some controllers that work.2011-08-04 03:45:00

Same thing happened to me. 300 pounds + Ps3 controller = pancake controller. Still cool to see all the innards of it tho.2011-08-04 04:37:00

I'm still waiting for someone to take off the outside casing of a ps3 controller, swap it for an Xbox 360 controller's casing and hook up the ps3 wiring to the xbox 360 casing. 2011-08-07 00:42:00

Did this with a PS2 and a NGC controller a few years ago. PS2 controls for ma Wind Wakers. Woot.
Both were aftermarket controlers by madcatz i think.. I remember the buttons fitting, so it could not have been 1st party hardware...

Well that's unfortunate, given the price of wireless controllers.

I have 2 that are both almost 3 years old. They're fine but I think the analog sticks are getting used up. Well, their springs still center correctly but I don't feel the same pressure on them as before. I guess it's just a matter of time until a controller goes kaput, regardless of how careful you are with it

Well, at least it's only two buttons and not the whole controller. The repair should be a breeze.

I've only had... one, technically, break. And that's because I used it so much that it just wore itself out. Now I'm stuck with a rumble-less controller and a Dualshock 3 with an ultra-sensitive R2 button. -_-

In matter of fact I think the Dualshock's only flaw are the triggers. They should be convex and shouldn't require more pressure the more you press it. Like the triggers of the 360's controller. The rest of it is just perfect

Playstation has always had the best controlers in the industry IMHO
