Hey all. So basically, its your basic race. I wanted to set awards to be unlocked for finishing it in certain times. I was going to make this time correspond to the timing on the race gate, for instance finisahing in a minute and a half earns 9000 points top prize. However, bubbles pause the race gate timer but this would not stop my own timer. I was planning on eventually coming up with a way to rectify this difference on my own but figured I'd still post it here for the LBP community. Maybe that'll cut back on time. I'm thinking it'll be something like using sensor switches on the bubbles to some kind of logic but I haven't looked further. If I'm not being clear on what I want it to do let me know. A key switch that runs above the race, it stops at a certain point (via reverse motion sensor or something at the end of the race) and activates an emitter for the prize dependent on where the key switch stopped. *dark matter* ----------piston--------[block w/keyswitch] ............................................[prize 1 block] [prize 2 block] ...and so on. *Start* ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------*End* (Motion Sensor that stops piston) You will need something rotating (or anything of your choice) with a keys witch on it that activates the actual emitter. The wobble bolt will be activated by wherever the block (above the race) w/key switch stops. That way, all the prizes won't activate as soon as the block passes by the certain switch. Thanks for the input. What I'm working with now is a piston with key that activates two switches. One part way through to stop top prize from activating and one at end to keep second prize from activating. I just calibrated everything so that it starts right when the gate opens and ends as the player falls through the end gate. I use sveral other switches as a way of keeping all three modes of activating if you earn the top prize. The problem is score bubbles making the times not match. I have a design that employs keys attached to the bubbles which activate or switches that stop the main piston from moving for set time but that would require thermo I don't have.
