This popped for me last night in Tokyo too, right at midnight (currently 1:00 pm July 29th). Weirded me out! So, another reminder, all pins unlock based on the PS3's internal clock. If you miss this one, go into your Date and Time settings and set it for July 29th (any time of day) and play LBP2. As soon as you're in the Pod it'll pop up.

Yeah, it's silly to do it just for the pin (especially a secret pin that doesn't count toward your completion if you're trying to get 100% of the ones in the menu) but people can get crazy about digital "collecting". I remember when I first bought LBP2 I was looking into the trophies and people were saying to get the 7 days in a row played trophy, which if you bought the game you'd presumably want to play every day anyway, instead of ACTUALLY PLAYING IT these people were telling you to change your Time and Date settings to the next day, play the game a minute, change settings to the next day, play it again, and so on. I assume it would be possible to get the Christmas pin by changing PS3 settings to Dec 25th. It's a lousy and cheap way of enjoying a game, but obsessive compulsive types are like that.
