Wooden Essentials [Pt.1]

Archive: 15 posts

Some of you may have seen or even tried my Drawn Essential.
Well, Drawn Essentials is a bonus level in The Essentials Series. And this is the First level. Wooden Essentials, A Chinese Man is gonna test you platforming skills in order to successfully complete the rest of the Essential Levels.
As you probably have guessed, the theme is some kind of Chinese wooden construction.

Hope you'll have fun!

OMG!, this looks amazing.:star::star::star::star::star: How could have I missed this? Playing this as soon as I can log back in (great timing with the maintenance/update, lol).

Well if you have the time (and hopefully LBP is back online), would you mind testing out my level? It's called Sinner's Redemption and it's a story-based platformer with an underworld/hell theme. It's a LBP1 level though so don't expect much from it.
Here it is: https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=60154-Sinner-s-Redemption (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=60154-Sinner-s-Redemption)

Hope you check it out.

Dang, I forgot to come back here and say that I played it and love the design style and the fast paced platforming. Great game play mechanics here. Loved the level, outstanding job.2011-08-07 23:36:00

Finally got a chance to try it out and it was, indeed, amazing.

It had a clean yet intricate visual design that was consistent throughout the whole level.

The difficulty kept me on my toes and mastering those platforming sections were definitely rewarding.

By the way, I also got to try your preview Drawn Essentials and the art design for that was brilliant.

Well anyways, loved both of the levels and keep up the fantastic work.

Your level is indeed a pretty fast challenge, though I did die a few times, I'm guessing it's me (or those dreaded spikes!).

The setpieces were organized and the materials you used were basic enough so it didn't hurt the
aesthetic of the level. The challenges were, obviously, challenging enough, and I think that it would have been good
regardless of whether the guy in the beginning was there or not.

It's a good standalone platformer but it should be recommended for the semi-hardcore. Congrats though!

Speaking of platformers, could you try my new level Funoranium and see what you think about it? Thanks.

Hey there!

After sitting in my queue for about a month I finally got around to playing it. I'm glad I did!

Simple yet elegant visuals and fun engaging action come together in this woodwork masterpiece. The entire level feels as if it's alive, with so many pieces moving in real-time. Intense, high octane platforming action, copious amounts of lethal spikes, and above all, it's just plain fun.

Folks, we have a keeper here.

F4F: Please play and leave feedback for my Heavy Metal level here (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=57200-Heavy-Metal).

I absolutely loved this level. It was challenging but not frustrating at all. It's so much fun bouncing around not knowing where you're gonna land next! Also, I loved the prizes in the prize bubbles. Thanks a lot! Can you please play my level "Cosmos Pinball"? I would appreciate it.2011-09-18 17:32:00
