[Glitch] How to Create a Beam of Light Without Any Lamp in your Level
Archive: 14 posts
Hello everybody ! ![]() Here is a new Glitch I just found 2 days ago : It allow you to make a beam of light without any lamp in your level ! ;p Here is my video (I'm French, but you can understand by just watching what I do in the video and I will explain it right below. ^^) : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QqSXWoLXS_Q - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QqSXWoLXS_Q&hd=1 First, you have to reduce the level luminosity (turn it to night !) http://img808.imageshack.us/img808/1576/49474110.png Next, put a lamp in your level and tweak it as you need : http://img4.imageshack.us/img4/9628/78101666.png http://img69.imageshack.us/img69/4226/51813663.png Now, put a microship on your lamp et add a destroyer tool (tweaked on "Fall apart" mode) in the chip : http://img856.imageshack.us/img856/8537/45061524.png Set the game into "Pause" mode ("up" on the D-Pad) and add a timer next to the destroyer, then wire the timer to the destroyer : http://img155.imageshack.us/img155/6329/87204310.png Tweak the timer to "0.1" for the first option and turn the lamp into gaz : http://img688.imageshack.us/img688/9990/75246546.png Now, turn off the "Pause" mode and the timer will activate the destroyer to destroy the lamp. You will see the lamp desappear, but its beam of light will stay in your level : http://img683.imageshack.us/img683/3755/48629114.png Warning : Put the lamp at the right place you want the beam to stay, cuz' you won't be able to move it after the destruction of the lamp. There are only 2 ways to delete the beam of light : - Press "Rewind" (left on D-Pad) or - Delete the level (that's not really cool XD) And voil? ! ^^ Let me know what you think about this new glitch / tutorial ! ![]() (oh and sorry again if my english is not perfect) | 2011-07-28 15:43:00 Author: Torkass ![]() Posts: 22 |

Does this help save on thermo? | 2011-07-29 13:44:00 Author: LittleBigDes ![]() Posts: 920 |
Does this help save on thermo?Absolutely ! The thermo remains unused with this method. | 2011-07-29 14:32:00 Author: Torkass ![]() Posts: 22 |
This is interesting since there is no source for a beam of light that can be hidden like the LED light. The inability to edit or remove it (and I assume it is also immovable) is a major turnoff to me, though. I am no perfect creator so inevitably I will need to move that beam at one point. | 2011-07-29 15:28:00 Author: Antikris ![]() Posts: 1340 |
I love the effect. Thank you for figuring this out. This will go nicely for what I have planned. | 2011-07-29 15:47:00 Author: Captain_Dinosaur ![]() Posts: 214 |

Thanks! This is just what I needed. And Im jealous of your supreme bilingual skills.... This is interesting since there is no source for a beam of light that can be hidden like the LED light. I know its hard to work with but you could make this the last thing you do before publishing for easy fixing | 2011-07-29 16:17:00 Author: kuppokid ![]() Posts: 79 |
I know its hard to work with but you could make this the last thing you do before publishing for easy fixingYes, that's not a problem because of you can let the lamp into gaz untill you finish your level. This way, the lamp still can pass through walls and be placed wherever you want. ^^ | 2011-07-29 16:22:00 Author: Torkass ![]() Posts: 22 |
Yes, that's not a problem because of you can let the lamp into gaz untill you finish your level. This way, the lamp still can pass through walls and be placed wherever you want. ^^ That is a good point. Also, I'd say, make a copy of the level on a different crater before removing the light source, so you at least have a version of the level that remains freely editable. | 2011-07-29 18:52:00 Author: Antikris ![]() Posts: 1340 |
