Hello everyone, I have a very large problem going on that I cant figure out. Recently,I downloaded a full game from the playstation store. However, when I attempted to install it, it said I didnt have enough space. So I went into system settings and foud I had 4255 megabytes left out of the original 37 gigabytes. I was very confused, considering I have no music, pictures, or movies stored on my PS3, just games. So I calculated everything from "Game Aata Utility"(which includes netflix), "Saved Data Utility", all the downloaded games underneath the regular disc game, and playstation home. I dont have hulu plus, nor, again, any music, pictured, videos, or movies, just the stuff I mentioned above, and thats what I calculated. All of this came 14,909 megabytes; which is about 14.5 gigabytes. With the space I still have added in, it comes to 19,164 gigabytes, which is still 19 gigabytes. So, since I originally had 37, Im wondering where the hellokitty are the other 18?

When I clicked on this thread I expected something to do with either music festivals or Manchester United. In which case it would have been better as "What gigs are going on here?" and "What the Giggs is going on here?" In seriousness, I think that's just the PS3 OS software which takes up a bit of your space, still, if it is that, it's quite a lot. I dunno. :/

Also remember the disclaimer (!) when you first bought your PS3. It said that the PS3 calculates space completely different as opposed to your computer. I don't know why.

Check out the size of your recieved/sent message folder. I found mine to be quite hefty! 4 years worth of messages was in there...

I have a 40gb fat also & mine does not calculate different than a comp. Don't know what's going on with your gigs though :/

PS3 are derpy like that. For example, did you know I'm not allowed to use the internet on my PS3 while laptop's on or else it disconnects all my Wi-Fi enabled electronics?
