A Walk in the Art (Art Gallery)
Archive: 22 posts
http://lbp.me/v/3zph0d Due to the amount of requests for publishing an art gallery of my artwork, I've finally decided to do it (took me long enough :/)! I really didn't expect the amount of attention it's gotten so far for the first couple of days though! I know the artwork isn't as detailed as something Monkeysboys can do (although I may be able to pull it off if I tried XD), but it makes me happy that there are at least some people who appreciate my artwork. I'm slowly getting better with the corner-editing tool and manipulating the materials too, so the character portraits may potentially become more detailed as time goes on! With that said, here are some samples of the pieces you'll see in this gallery: http://i2.lbp.me/img/ft/342dae02e0bcc6bca0d4ee19c454698046f555e2.jpg http://i2.lbp.me/img/ft/0729d63a51f57c49f699b3d36dfc2132de0d6c23.jpg http://id.lbp.me/img/ft/d8d43faadb9ba41fb4943e10a9b9c20a8b2da240.jpg Now, I'm not really fond of those kinds of "run-straight-through" kind of galleries, so I tried to go for a slightly different approach in which you can view my artwork; a little part will feel like a "run-straight-through," but there's definitely more than that if you decide to be up close and personal with my artwork. Hope you guys enjoy this! Please let me know of any bugs you find in this level as well, and I'll try to fix it as soon as I can! ^^ And as usual, I'll give feedback to anyone who posts a reply in this thread. However, I've been getting quite busy lately since I'm working on several other projects at the same time, but I will try to get back to you and your levels as soon as possible. <3 Edit: Decided to add in an extra image on what you can do in this gallery. Thanks to Dortr for the photo. http://ic.lbp.me/img/ft/38c2348c21b181d2cf2e7d01af4044cfac2faa7c.jpg | 2011-07-27 05:36:00 Author: Qrii_Nakari Posts: 204 |

As far as art showrooms go in LBP this is one i really admired. Not only did you create some great masterpieces but they were of actual creators in LBP that is something i found really interesting. I didn't know what to expect when i first entered the level but was glade i did. Like i said on the level profile it would be really great if you could reproduce their moons as well above the characters or have them actually standing on their moons and have it that you enter the moon to see the artwork that would really be interesting and artistic. Can't wait to see what you make next. And btw the skeleton demon thing was the best of all. I really liked that model in your Devon series. All you need now is different music for each person as you walk by them. Maybe ask the creators themselves what music in LBP they want for their arty avatars. | 2011-07-28 02:53:00 Author: Lordwarblade Posts: 761 |

I don't know if I'd be able to recreate their Earths and place them into the level without the thermo nagging at me; I was having some overheating problems much earlier due to the detailed artwork. ^^; I'm still really glad that you liked them though, and maybe one day the level will actually have what you suggested! Now, if only the thermo was my friend... By the way, I do want to thank everyone who has played through and left such wonderful reviews on this gallery level. I seriously did not think I'd get this much attention within the first couple of weeks of it being published (that shows you how much I'm used to being unknown and getting only 2 plays a day XD)! I greatly appreciate everyone's support thus far and will continue to be making artwork. | 2011-08-03 00:44:00 Author: Qrii_Nakari Posts: 204 |
Wow, I'm yet to test out the paint sticker feature in the MOVE DLC, so I definitely check this out and post back. | 2011-09-21 12:45:00 Author: LittleBigDes Posts: 920 |
I'm sorry. I don't mean to burst your bubble, but none of these pieces of artwork were made using the Paint tool; each of these were created and built with materials MONTHS before the Move Pack DLC was even announced. Regardless, I do hope you enjoy the artwork. You are free to walk all over it! ...That didn't sound right. | 2011-09-21 14:02:00 Author: Qrii_Nakari Posts: 204 |

I did think it looked odd for a paint level, but now I know. Regardless, I'm interested fromt he pictures so I'm still playing it | 2011-09-21 14:22:00 Author: LittleBigDes Posts: 920 |
The screenshots look fantastic. I'll definitely check this out. If you can, try my chips challenge level. https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=62439-Chip-s-Challenge | 2011-09-22 04:20:00 Author: Greensmurfy Posts: 300 |
There's not much to say... the art work is amazing. I find it very impressive that you can create these beautiful pieces on LBP 2. I liked Lordwarblade's suggestion of creating the creator's moon. Darn Thermo *Looks towards the sky at nothing and shakes fist* I enjoy these levels where you use your artistic skills to create a community level. | 2011-09-22 06:44:00 Author: Greensmurfy Posts: 300 |
Looks amazing. I shall check it out. | 2011-09-22 15:00:00 Author: SnipySev Posts: 2452 |
Played it. Simply amazing! From watching your other posts containing pictures of your sackperson or pod it's pretty obvious you're an artsy creator (an artist IRL too I suppose), but I never thought anyone would have the patience to create stuff with this level of detail in LBP2. This level is a good reason to envy your friends, and I mean that in a positive sense. Great job | 2011-09-22 18:07:00 Author: SnipySev Posts: 2452 |

Love the artwork! It's brilliant! and the amount of work put into this was alot! You should carry on creating, you may be entered to the Mm Picks with artworks such as that! Well done! | 2011-09-23 18:56:00 Author: Unknown User |
O___O I played this some times ago. Really cool, and really loved the technique you used. Looking forward for some new stuff from you | 2011-09-25 07:49:00 Author: OmegaSlayer Posts: 5112 |
Oh my gosh! o-o I thought this thread was left in the dust, so I wasn't even aware that people were replying to it! Thank you so much for the kind words everyone. <3 I will try to find some time to play through those levels and leave some feedback on them. | 2011-09-29 23:46:00 Author: Qrii_Nakari Posts: 204 |

As an artist I think I must check this out. At work now but I'll queue it up and give some feedback when I get home. | 2011-09-30 14:08:00 Author: Unknown User |
A bit late I know (played this some time ago, I have a bit of a backlog). But I like the fact that you can actually walk in the art itself. The use of the layers and being able to view it from different angles until it lines up is impressive. Definitely worth a 'walk' through. | 2011-10-14 12:08:00 Author: LittleBigDes Posts: 920 |
wow! How did I miss this one? It looks impressive. got it queued | 2011-10-14 12:33:00 Author: biorogue Posts: 8424 |
