I was playing lbp 2 on a different ps3 yesterday and forgot that you can't play community levels right away. Anyway I was earning pins like crazy and it was fun. On my ps3 where I got my lbp2 profile I got most of the pins and so I rarely see new ones pop up in the lower corner. I was just wondering if MM will ever add new pins. I think it would be a good thing to add more. What do you guys think? What pins would you add to the game?

Most definitely. I think they ought to add new pins every month, encouraging replays of levels and new, quirky challenges for players who've long since gotten all the regular ones as well as beaten the story mode and gotten all trophies. The grind pins like 1,000 Yays and Boos are just repetition. I'd love stuff like speed run pins (beat the first part of Negativitron in under 1 minute) and pins for cool achievements (beat a level pressing X five times or less, etc). It's one of the simplest things to implement in an update, and there's endless possibility. Just like trophies, if you're into those. Only better, because trophies are a troublesome completion status that sticks with you whether you're in the game or not. Pins are fun and quirky in-game rewards. I like 'em.

this would be all fun and dandy but then people would get the idea to make specific levels just for those pins. Such as *5 times or less* And in return the ignorant people would give him a heart. So all new pins means is more spammers. But aside from that if i were to add a pin, it would be the... Costume Curator-have over 50(max) costumes in your popit. Emotion Comotion-change your emotions 10,000(Max) times Leftover Space-Publish a level with the thermometer below 40%

To bad you can't look at the pins menu on LBP.ME. I'd add that. I was looking at some of the pins I didn't earn yet and saw they made a pin you get if your playing on Christmas day lol. They can add more holiday ones like that, and even change the menus alittle bit to reflect the current holiday like a mmo. Like make the menus green and gold for St. Patrick. For Christmas make the menus red and add a snow effect in the background. That would be fun. Pins are little things in the game, but they are fun, so more of them would be more fun! Speed runs, achievements, and just unique things like turbo slapper are great.

Speed run pins sound like fun. Like beating certain story levels in a certain amount of time, or beating the entire game in less than 3 hours or something. I also like the idea for beating a certain level pressing a certain button a minimum number of times. OR they could put some of the LBP 1 trophies into LBP 2 as pins? Like going really fast or really high, or being airborn for a certain time. I really enjoyed those trophies.

I mean I have all of the special pins related to holidays and birthdays, but we need more special pins that are a bit easier to recieve than the molecule pin lol. Something like umm a pin for getting a platinum trophy on LBP1 lol.

There could be a pin for making a level with low gravity or zero global lighting or all under water. IDK just thinking out load. If there was a pin for listening to custom soundtracks from my ps3 hard drive, I'd have it x1000 lol. Maybe a pin for participating in the crown contests. Music pins would be cool, too.

Here's some random ideas: Don't leave me!: Pull a player in the opposite direction that they're walking. Spinning is fun: Make something spin really fast. (more than 500 rotation speed) Where credit is due: Publish a level that uses an object someone else made, AND mention their name somewhere in the description. Light the way: Turn on a light while the darkness setting is at darkest. Ragequit: Quit a level while you're in a death animation. Take a break!: Have your controller's battery run out while playing. Film critic: Leave reviews on 5 movie levels. Soaked: get hit by 10 water projectiles in less than 3 seconds. I've got a lot more ideas. :3
