So today, I go to start my PS3, and no audio or video shows up. I just get a green and blue LED. is there any way to bring the big guy back from the dead here, or am I screwed?

Pro-tip : Check the ******* cables connecting to the tv, or is it even on? Edit - I don't mean to be rude, but this sounds like the AV/HDMI cables got un-plugged... and if not, then we can continue with the "PS3 is dead!!!" sentiment. However, this could have to do with the HDMI cable... if you use an HD-TV

This occurs for me when switching between HDMI and SCART for recording gameplay, so maybe some of your display settings have been reset to factory settings or something. It's been a while but I believe holding the power button for a few seconds when turning the machine on auto-configs the display settings for whatever you have plugged in at the time which may resolve your issue, consult the manual and see what it says.

If you had it on HDMI settings then it might have switched back to Scart settings
