How can i make sackbots act at a specific time ?

hello , im having trouble making my sackbots act when i want them two ive tried putting a sensor down to activate it but it still moves -_- ! so basically is there any way that i can make a sackbot act when im near it and not act when im not near it. im sorry if this is confusing its hard to put into words : please reply soon , i need help ! yours gratefully LuiWatters <------ also my gamer tag. | 2011-07-26 00:12:00 Author: Unknown User |
Hi. What to do is place a new microchip on the sackbots base chip. Om this place 2 new BEHAVIOUR CHIPS. Place a PLAYER SENSOR with a radius of around 12.0 on the chip. connect a wire from this player sensors output into the first behaviour chip (set this chips tweaks to ACT and its play format to LOOP RELATIVE) Now, take another wire from the player sensors output and connect iot to a NOT GATE, and wire the output from the not gate into the second behaviour chip (set this chips tweaks to behaviour IDLE) Thats it. How it works- When you come within the range of the Player Sensor it will trigger the first behaviour chip (so the sackbot will act). When you are NOT in range of the Player Sensor, the Not Gate is triggered and activates the second behaviour chip (the sackbot will be idle) As the not gate is continually active if your not in range, the sackbot will use the IDLE chip logic, untill you come in range of the player sensor.
