Portal 2 - Comic that bridges the gap

Archive: 6 posts

Hey there!

I played Portal 1, and then Portal 2 when it was released. I'm sure lots of you noticed that the end of Portal 1 didn't exactly follow on with the beginning of Portal 2 - I mean, why was Chell where she was, and how did she get there?

Anyway, I read an article on Cracked.com today, which lead me to this: http://www.thinkwithportals.com/comic/#1

THAT is a comic which bridges the gap between the two games - and I believe it comes from the producers of Portal. I think they created it to bridge the gap between the games for those who had played both, seeing as Portal 1 was not nearly as famous as Portal 2. That way, the game could be enjoyed more thoroughly by both people who had played the first, and those that hadn't. Anyway, the comic is well worth a read.

Anyone know about this?

PS: Cracked did a good article on other hidden easter eggs in Portal 2 which can be found here (http://www.cracked.com/article_19332_7-creepy-video-game-easter-eggs-youll-wish-were-never-found.html). Probably recommended for 18+.

Great Scott! Wait what happens to beardy?

Apparently, he is hidden behind a wall in Portal 2. He's responsible for all the "Cake is a lie" graffiti, and in those little hidey holes, you can hear him.
ALLEGEDLY. I need to check it out for myself!

This has been posted several times in the Portal 2 thread and most Portal players have known about it for several months. But yeah, comics are kinda becoming a thing for Valve. They're releasing a book with all their comics (TF2, L4D2, P2) and maybe something new soon.2011-07-27 11:15:00

In the soundtrack, the background noise is an audio clip of someone babbling about numerous different things. Although you can't make out much, I think he says "The jellyfish is gone". The community thinks it is ratman's ghost. This song plays when youre in one of ratman's dens or looking at the graphitti he has made for you.
