Top Down Sackbots

Hey guys, So I started working on the gameplay elements of a level after finished the story part and lets just say this part isn't my strength. So this is a top down level and I know they are supposed to be somewhat simple if you are controlling your own sack person, but I am trying to control a sackbot. So what I did was make a controllinator transmit as a remote and make a piece of holo with a controlinator receive (so basically when I control it, all that's moving is the material). When I try to put a sackbot on it, it doesn't want to stay on. I've really tried to think about this but I just don't see how to make it work. What I'm imagining is gameplay a little similar to Frozen Flame by Felkroth (just an example). Does anyone have any suggestions as to making a sackbot be controlled by the player in a top down environment? I've tried searching this topic with no clear results also... Sad day.
