quick time events

So does anyone have any idea how to make a cut scene thats interactive, cause i jut want to know the following things
-make the buttons appear and be active when a certain action is about to happen
-add the consequences in-case you press the wrong button
-how to make a button not active in the cut scene so it can be its actions can be used later on
an in any other case if you didnt understand a word i said, ill use this picture as reference

I can't give you a very detailed solution, as there are allot of variables, but:

Don't disable controls in cutscene.
use sequencers (start it with pulse, play forward) to activate each option (batteries to an AND along with the button presses)
Battery would also activate the image for the button press (or whatever you plan to use to prompt to button)
AND gate would reset sequencer and continue events to ....etc. If not done in time, sequencer would activate another battery or something that would activate the consequence (this is where it would vary...a lot).

This is entirely made up on the spot, but hopefully it helps.

sstagg1 way should work and considering which button you choose you could select which act recording is up next. Yeah but this idea is pretty cool, hope it works out. 2011-07-25 08:47:00
