All rise, Round 52 of the Caption Contest is in session!
After an amazing bit of procrastination, level building, packing, moving, unpacking and then completely forgetting about it until prodded with a sharp stick at close range, we are back for another round! yay!!

Round of what?!
Round of the Caption Contest! The premise is simple; whoever places the best caption on the provided LBP image wins! The caption could be a thought going through the characters' heads, or something the characters are saying, or even a short story leading up to the picture! It can practically be anything you want, as long as it's clean and abides by the forum rules.

NOTE: Humor is the only way to win!

Each round a new picture will be posted and you have at least two weeks (or longer since we like to have lots of entries as well as need more time for a new pic) before the thread is locked for judging. Once the next round commences, a new picture will be posted, and the winners from the previous round shall be announced.

Rules:


Only two captions per user (you do not have to post both at the same time).



Image editing/manipulating (Photoshopping/GIMP-ing) is allowed.



Awards will be handed out at the end of the round, usually on a Saturday after round ends. At that time, the image for the next round will be displayed.



Post the pictures on this thread. Yes.. they have to be pictures with your captions enclosed.. not just words on a post.
Image needs to be around the same size as the original for legibility. Smaller ones will be accepted, but if they cannot be read and you cannot fix your entry, then it will be horribly hard to judge and probably will not win. More then welcome to get with me to give you help, plus I have a handy how to up above!


PLEASE AVOID ATTACHEMENTS! They are either too small or I cannot archive them easily. Sometimes they work fine, but more times than not I have to struggle with them.


Awards: (except for round 50 where all 3 pic winners were given 500xp)


Winning Caption -the best caption gets this. [250 xp]



Second Place - second best caption. [100 xp]



Third Place - third best caption. [50 xp]



Consolation Prize - this award goes to the caption that didn't get an award, but was still very good(this may not be handed out every time). [20 xp]

Congrats! You had a winner!

Nope not a level pic, just the newest of our custom sets we've done for this contest. Actually that's the reason it takes awhile to come up with a new pic. We come up with a concept, create it, and finally take an HD recording to grab a photo.

It reminds me when I were very young. There was a TV ad when a bear would steal Sugar Crisp cereal boxes cause they were too delicious. I asked my dad : "why does he steal the cereal boxes?" and he replied "because he likes them too much" and then I replied I didn't understand why he would do such a thing, stealing is bad" (I guess at that age we repeat what we hear).

So my father called the company just to tell them kindly : you know, the ad where the bear steals cereal boxes is on a child tv channel. It doesn't give a good example. Next week the ad disappeared.		2011-08-07 22:10:00

FYI: I did update the ending date as I am out of town this coming weekend and returning Sunday. So I pushed the deadline out to Monday the 22nd in hopes I have something ready for the next round by then!

I've heard that my picture doesn't work for some people. Is there a better way of posting my caption picture if that is true? I used ImageShack to host it. I messed around with the picture so it might work... If you can't see my picture in the post, I guess I can just put it as an attachment until I can find a better solution. EDIT: It works now, I guess I can get rid of that pesky attachment!

I can see it just fine.

Actually, I have image posting instructions in the OP. Using the IMG tag works just fine if hosted at another site. Usually the problems are if you make it an attachment and host it here on LBPC as this site will reduce the size significantly. Something that is a pet peeve of mine and talked about in the rules since I go to the trouble of creating a HD pic in the first place.

It is great to see this contest back in action jw. I stopped by a while back and saw no activity, and wondered how this could be.

tsk tsk tsk.. as I have said before, I don't FIND THEM, we CREATE THEM from scratch. We build the sets, pose as well as utilize sackbots, and record some HD footage to then grab the final pic.
