InSpacE by storcken "NEW VERSION"

Archive: 17 posts

This is my first own published creation!

GT: storcken
Level: InSpacE
lbp.me: http://lbp.me/v/3mxs2m

In this level you need to search every part of a sience-spaceship that have crached in some unknown planet to find all alien eggs (Pointbubbles) and other good stuff!
This is a single player level/movie plattform whith some scary moments!
To play this right: put on subtitles and use R1 for all actions

(This is a new version there i have made some changes that some gamers whith sharp eyes out there have noticed!
I allso made so you get a speedrun sticker at the end, so you can speedrun thrue the track whith minimal movie break next time you play it!)

Hope you going to like this one!

Have allso made the graphics on Sacules on team saconauts!
To play that! : go to my friend ROT_IN`s planet and look for Sacules

And check out my new level "MUSEUM AFTER DARK"

Do that my friend!
And the guy whith the review saying the gameplay was lacking, prob. have right!!

This track is made more like a movie there the player should feel like he/she is the main caracter!!
That was my idea!

Thanks for your coment!

good thing i saw this...i forgot to to reply. i played the level yesterday.

i thought it was sick. although i do agree with what the other guy said. it was sometimes a little hard to tell what layers were the playable ones but i don't see it as a negative. great use of the layer glitch anyhow so well done on that. and i can appreciate the feel you were going for with this level...not a " traditional " platformer but like you said...more of a movie feel. thats the kinda thing i go for anyway...and you certainly achieved that. it was a little hard at times. i got stuck a couple times but it added to the enjoyment. overall i don't really have anything bad to say about this. its unique in its own way and i enjoyed playing. ill be playing it again soon.

if you got time check out my short matrix movie. appreciate it.https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=59641-the-matrix-has-sackboy...

I was truly amazed by this level. And that's saying something. The atmosphere was absolutely perfect and the spaceship itself was extraordinarily detailed. You did a pretty sick job with the 3D layer glitch and I honestly thinkthe opening scene's got to be one of the best scenes I've ever seen. Although there wasn't much gameplay involved, your level was a blast to play and a beautiful sight to behold. I figure I'm not the only one who thinks that this deserves a lot more plays. In terms of visuals it's easily one of the best levels out there.

In order to get more plays, I suggest you include a LBP.me level link in the OP. It works wonders, trust me.

Really enjoyed your level. I thought the atmosphere was great. I didn't want it to end...

In the first few minutes when the spotlights switch on to reveal the derelict spacecraft my jaw dropped. Fantastic use of the 3D glitch, the depth that you have created is very good. Really felt like a derelict spacecraft, loved the broken parts - The cobwebs looks good too A heart and a yay - I hope to see more.

For the final part as you are running back to your own space craft how about keeping the faster/uptempo music going? could be done when activating the final music player it also deactivates the other music sensors?

Please could you try out Highway Encounter lbp.me link (http://lbp.me/v/1bn27g)

I finally got to play this today and my jaw dropped at the site of the alien ship. Your use of the extra layers glitch is impressive. The details in the ship, especially the exoskeleton of the alien, wow! I had fun throughout the level. I loved the atmosphere and the gameplay. The only negative thing I can say is that at the beginning when I'm moving towards the ship, the camera is pulled back and at an awkward angle. It was a little difficult to tell where to go. That and I would've liked to battle the queen myself, or kinda like in the Alien movie where the queen detaches herself from the egg sack and chases you. Overall, awesome level. I'll definitely be playing it again. Thank you for the experience.2011-07-31 00:14:00

A NEW better version of InSpacE is now up on my planet!

I have allso added a speedrun whith minimal movie breaks! (You get a speedrun-sticker at the end, that you can use to speedrun it next time you play! Just put the sticker on the window in the beginning! )

Hope you think its cool!

Thanks for all feedback that made me do it better!

Hi,

Just played it, and I must say it was excellent I found myself somewhat lost sometimes with all those layers, because I couldn't really distinguish the three standard layers from the extra layers, so I had a bit of trouble knowing where to jump or stand, but honestly, what you made with the glitch is definitely worth it. I like how realistic you made the ship. Some prefer Mm-like levels with a lot of platforms and sponge everywhere haphazardly throughout the level. I personally prefer levels like yours, where obstacles have a well-defined usage (ladders, scaffoldings, air ducts,...)

Some may think the gameplay isn't up to much and comes down to flicking switches, but I think you worked quite hard on it and I really loved the part with the crane. It was pretty ingenious! Keep up with the good work!

Yes i allso think that a level dont need to be the usual platformer!!
Its for me more intresting if it have some different way to show the player around!
And sometimes that way can make some parts little weird to play, but it still fit the picture!

Have found some other levels that allso feels that way, and i hope to see more of them!
