I have of couple ideas for the LBP 2 multiplayer.
First off, splitscreen for offline multiplayer. When I'm playing with my friend, I'd like to go on my own lil adventure in a big
open world level.
Second, I would like to have checkpoints for certain players(A checkpoint for player 1 another one for player 2 etc...) in a deathmatch level.
Third, an option where you can follow another player's camera. Looking at another person's camera would be useful in a big open world level. Especially if your teaming up with someone.
Fourth, being able to make teams. I would love to team up with my friends against some mortal enemies!

That is a really cool trick with a perspective-sensitive Camera, Controllinator and In/Out Mover. I just might design a level with that idea in mind.

I've brought up the prospect of splitscreen cameras and player-specific Checkpoints msyelf before, so naturally I agree. To add to those ideas, I propose personal cameras for online play, which means each player has an independent camera view instead of having to share a view with the other three players, and player-specific Controllinators. Player-specific settings for the Player Sensor, Follower, and Sackbot Follow settings would also be welcome.

I'm guessing four transmitting Controllinators each with a different Tag, four Sackbots each with a receiving controllinator that matches one of the transmitters, and a unique Tag for each Sackbot that is picked up by a Tag Sensor? I'd still rather we get player-specific settings. That would streamline the process so much. Also, Sackbots should have a Flee from Waypoint setting. I don't care if Followers have a flee setting, it doesn't work the same way Sackbot AI would.2011-07-28 06:27:00
