The Mind Temple

Worked hard on this one, not much else to say. Spent a little over 3 weeks in total I think.

Part 2 will be out when I can be bothered to work on the boss fight... It's annoying. Perhaps I'll add screenshots when I'm not so fed up with working with this level.

Oh, and if you're scared that it sucks because of its plays.. I JUST republished it, so it got set back to 0.

I didn't have any problems or glitches in the level, and I liked its design and gameplay. I liked the parts with the explosions, even though the lag from online mode made them scary... I can't really think of any ways to make it work better, and I hope part two will be just as good, if not better. 2011-07-22 19:15:00

Tried this level and I liked the part where you standstill and focus to destroy the obstacles blocking the way.

The design of the boss. near the beginning, was looking good and I'm hoping to see that boss fight in your second level.

I liked the idea of the mind power lol, and how the boss was looking. My only feedback would be that the music lessens the level atmosphere and mood, walking through the night with elevator music was kinda odd lol, oh and the part with the rising neon platforms, to me they doesn't fit with the cave/god temple theme.

Maybe I sounded kinda harsh, but I hope my feedback was useful for you. OH please play my Morph Temple (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=60412-Morph-Temple) level and my other lvl while you are at it

First off, thank you to everyone for playing and leaving feedback!

I do agree with you Nyckolaz, especially on the Neon part. I felt like using Neon because it seems "magical," and you cannot see the pistons that make them move. I'll try updating it sometime soon with a few minor improvements!

Well you could have used another type of material, maybe the same rock, but that when you stand on it it lightens up a gives a magical sound. The same way the pistons can be invisible.

Played with LBP1

Nice, dark, environment

The cruise music doesn't fit with the environment.

The rising pillars in the beginning could use some kind of "rumbling" sound to them.

Very good design for the evil temple god guy. However, the red gas remained after the ascending following the speech.

There was a long delay for the platform to begin moving (the part with the fire floor and grabbable ceiling.) I jumped to the switch to make sure that it went completely over, just as the platform started moving, causing me to miss it.

The floor door, for the pink square, wouldn't open, after I placed the green square to it's designated area. I got the message prompt with the "-" from the pink floor door. The door slab might be stuck. Try giving it a little breathing room by giving it a bit more space to withdraw back into I had to quit the level, because I couldn't move on. EDIT: Okay, so I gave it another go, and made it past the puzzle. I don't know what I did differently.

If you would like to return feedback, play Terminator: Future Wars (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=59882-Terminator-Future-Wars)

I'm not exactly the most brilliant guy when it comes to music. Perhaps you could lend me a hand there?

Yes, the rising pillars could definitely use a sound effect or Earthquake effect!

The platform that took so long to move... I did that on purpose. Consider if there are more than 1 player(s) playing it. If the first guy is way ahead of the others, they need time to catch up and get onto the platform before the platform moves. For some reason, the guy on the platform dies since the camera stays back with the players not on the camera.

I'll look into the puzzle room and see what could have caused that.

You sir, are a genius! Thanks for the suggestion. I'll definitely do that!

Unfortunately, my PS3 took a crap on me today, so I can't access LBP. I recall there being a interactive song that had an eerie Cello track in it's mixer. I would just have the cello part, and maybe the bass part, for the beginning. I think it was the Canyons interactive music.

Please, avoid using "Cries In The Wind" - everybody and their mother uses that song in their level.

Well, I fixed it. At least I think the music should be a tad bit better now... Hahah.

Anywho, I changed a TON of stuff. Lots of material changes, more stickers/lights to enchance the visual experience, etc. Some little things were tweaked as well.

So anybody who has played it prior to this message: Could you possibly give it a go again and inform me if you like this new version more? I think its much better and more exciting. Thanks in advance.

The one suggestion I have is to change the trigger for the earthquake. I missed one of the jumps and had to go back to the first pillar, and the earthquake started again.2011-07-30 12:15:00
