Fallout 3 PS3 Patch 1.1

Archive: 18 posts

Hey the patch is out! It adds trophies (personally I thought would be waiting longer for them) and fixes a number of issues such as the GOAT test bug, the notifications bug and a number of other unnamed things. Get downloading . I think I'm gonna start a new game and new character... though I am a bit attached to my current one... still I want those trophies .

Many other people here have Fallout?

I have it but I gave it to my friend for a while.

You basically have to finish the game 3 times to complete the karma challenges.

From what I've seen in other comments on this you play good, save before you level, then lower your karma and level up for the trophy, reload and repeat for the other then reload for good.

Wow great news. I actually finished playing as a "good" charcter and started a new file as an "evil" character. The trophies are a great bonus but I am more happy that they fixed the notifications bug. Thanks for the info 2008-12-17 00:30:00

BTW for anyone who hasn't played the game yet, don't worry if you don't get hooked right away. It wasn't until I'd been played for about 8 hours (and had levelled up a good few times) that I got really into it. Now I'm addicted and can't wait to get finished college so I can play it for hours. And LBP... I've barely played it so far. And Valkyria Chroniles... and Prince of Persia... woah... lot of games to play this Christmas .

Anyway I'm focusing mostly on the main quest at the mo but got completely side-tracked with side-quests in one of the towns. It's awesome! And the ability to kill almost anyone is pretty cool, sometimes I'll save it and go on a rampage much like I would in a sandbox game. The branching dialog is pretty cool and there's great satisfaction in successfully using your speech skill.

In one town especially I felt like it was its own little world. The immersion in the game is incredible and there is a much better feeling of attachment with your character due partly to your father looking like you but moreso due to a certain radio station with a certain howling host. Really makes your accomplishments feel like they've had an impact on the world.

Anyway I'll keep the rest for a review... thinking about it I've grown a bit too attached to my current character to start again so I'm just gonna finish my playthrough and play through again to get the rest.

That's often the case with cross-platform games. Why would they make them different?

I won't be getting all the trophies, I haven't the patience to play through as a good character again, and there's no quick way to revert your Karma to good that won't also level you up. I don't think there's any games where I'll get 100% on trophies anyway. Thanks for posting the list though, looks like I will be getting a fair few of the trophies anyway!

theres Trophies in Fallout now brilliant. i love fallout 3. my only complaint is it is way too easy to make a really strong character in oblivion it took time to make a completely overpowered character. my character in fallout has only died once since level 10 unless you count the time i took out the Fat Man (mini nuke launcher) and pointed it straight at my feet. Go to the top of Tenpenny tower, jump off and fire a mini-nuke. It's fantastic. 2008-12-17 21:02:00
