Resetting the highscore list
Archive: 5 posts
Hey all, I was wondering if one of you knows how to reset highscores of your own custom level, otherwise it would make a good suggestion. The reason is this: I have updated my level to a new version in which (amongst other improvements) a race was deleted. This decreased the amount of points that can be gained in my level by quite a bit, so I would like to reset my highscorelist. Ofcourse I don't want to clutter my level with unnecessary bubbles just to match the previous scores. /Laekroth | 2008-12-16 11:45:00 Author: Laekroth Posts: 23 |
Delete the scoreboard, place a new one down and republish... I have no idea if this will work, and I doubt it will... But what the hey; there's no harm trying. *edit* Or you could copy the level to another crater on your Moon, then publish it... Once again, I have no idea if this will work. | 2008-12-16 14:46:00 Author: Unknown User |
Delete it from "my levels" and then republish it off of "my moon". That resets everything. | 2008-12-16 17:17:00 Author: Risen Posts: 251 |
You could take the new version of the level, publish that in a new spot, and then delete the old version of the level. The only problem is this method will not only wipe out the high scores list, it will also wipe out the number of plays, hearts, rating and tags. It will likely also mean people will lose you on their heart list if they only hearted that level. I don't know if this is entirely correct, but I suspect that this is what will happen. What you could do though is, if you still have a copy of the old version with the race, lock that version and then publish the new one under a slightly different name in a new location. Then you could put a key somewhere or other (or not give it out at all, or only to your friends) and the system will still track the stat numbers for the old one. I don't know though if people who have played a now locked level would be able to access it without getting a proper key. | 2008-12-17 00:57:00 Author: Elbee23 Posts: 1280 |
Thanks for the suggestions! I will test it with a dummy-level and see what happens | 2008-12-17 07:26:00 Author: Laekroth Posts: 23 |
