Music Sequencer Tempo, can it be changed in-composition?

Archive: 6 posts

I haven't looked very hard in-game, but I did search the forum with no results. Let's say I have a song with a tempo at 205BPM, and in the middle of the song I need it to change to 75BPM. Is there any way for this to be done within the sequencer or just not possible at all? I know that I could spread the notes out per measure but that is very time consuming and makes the sequencer a mile long...

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

At this point in time no. However, there is a solution I know of.

All you have to do is put a battery on the sequencer and link that to a second sequencer with a faster tempo. that would be how I would do it.

I'll just leave this here incase it can be of use in anyway [runs]

Lol, thanks. I'll definitely look into that when I get home from work. Youtube is blocked here... Stupid firewall...2011-07-21 03:08:00

You can fiddle around with a timers or other similar logic on the sequencer that launches a second song with a different tempo once it reaches a certain point in your song.

Can't promise you it would work well, though.

You most certainly can't change tempo within a single sequencer at this point in the game. (I haven't personally tried adjusting any inputs into the sequencer itself using varying percentages, but I assume on is on and off is off for the purposes of starting the sequencer.)

Yup, only on and off. But keep in mind there is a short delay when starting a music sequencer, so it might pause the song for 3 seconds.
You're lucky, at my school they blocked youtube, movies on most websites, some games, facebook (only blocked in the library) and worst of it : LBPCentral. "This page was blocked because of : Mp3/Streaming". But I found some proxy unblockers. The problem is they get blocked after a while, so you must keep changing. NSFW unblocker is great cause it works on my psp. I hate when websites don't work because it detects you're on a mobile, and instead of redirecting you to the mobile version of the page they show you the main page. So using proxy unblockers on mobile makes the websites think you're on a pc.

Sequencer 1 is at 205 BPM, I placed a sequencer at 150 BPM in that one (at the end, slightly merging with the last instrument). This starts the track the way I wish, but the timing isn't perfect. The end of the first sequencer fades, then the next one comes in barely late. Then there's a third one back at 205 BPM at the end of the second sequencer which is the last of them. Like I said, this worked but not nearly as well as I want it to.

I could go slightly old school and use the music notes in the sounds inside of a normal sequencer... But it would take forever to do that and the sequencer would be a mile long... It would probably slaughter the thermometer too.
