I wish they had a tool that if you had a symmetric object, you can draw a line right in the middle of the object. If you make any changes to one side of the object, it will automatically make the same change to the other side of the object. It would make creating things a lot easier, I know you can accomplish this using grid snap but a mirror tool would make it alot easier!!!

Alternatively you could simply create one half, copy it, flip it and paste the two halfs together

Alternatively you could simply create one half, copy it, flip it and paste the two halfs together To add on in the sense that the OP wants it to be done on a complete object, you can cut the object in half then apply changes, then flip. Logic might be better or worse with the tool.
