Bouncing off Creatures Brains(solved, I think)
Archive: 4 posts
In the Story levels, everytime you hit an enemy from the top, you would bounce upwards...why doesn't that work in 95% of user levels? I just plays Sackbeard's Treasure(great level), and he somehow got his custom creatures to do the bounce off brain thing. Do you guys know how it works? Here is the solution I found, from the guy who made Sackbeard's Treasure. Mike-Flies: I have made "bouncy" creatures and this is what I've noticed. When I first make a creature I try to always attach the brain last. This first instance of the creature has a bouncy brain almost all the time. If I copy the creature the copy will NOT have a bouncy brain. If I capture the creature to my objects and paste the creature it will NOT have a bouncy brain. If I emit the captured creature it WILL have a bouncy brain You should be able to use these to give bounce to the creatures you want to although it takes a little effort to make it work. | 2008-12-15 21:12:00 Author: Walter-Kovacs Posts: 542 |
Walter I found that its hit or miss with this. It's really frustrating because the way that MM uses it allows for access to secret rooms and such, which is impossible with the current system at the moment. Like for instance, in my Knights Tale level I have a few baddies that I made at the same time, simply by pressing L3, pasted 3 of them in the level and only one of them you bounce off of into the air. Thus, its hit or miss, unless someone has a different experience. | 2008-12-15 22:33:00 Author: Neverynnal Posts: 374 |

Yeah that makes a lot of sense with what I've experienced. Cool man, thanks! | 2008-12-15 23:37:00 Author: Neverynnal Posts: 374 |
