Brainstorm ideas for the Mad Science Pack below. If you come up with more, edit your post to keep things organized and not spam the thread. I'm currently editing this post now with a Creating Schedule, List of Items, etc.

The Plan
Courtesy of Alismuffin
Refined by Me

This will be a Community Project where EVERYONE can participate. Assignments will be given to those who respond they would like to help and will consist of focus on one particular job such as a character. In order for this project to work, we'll need cooperation, and most importantly, an ability to meet deadlines. We will be using the magic crater method to create our objects so we will pass on the level in turns. (See turns below). More about the requirements will be explained later.
Here's what we propose the packs should include:

Characters
Well made characters in various poses. Perhaps made in separate parts so as the creator can put the pieces together themselves and also add motion. Magic Mouths can describe the character and can even be used to give the character the desired voice, relevant to the theme.
Font
One font per pack with a theme relevant to the pack.
This would come with capital letters and lower case letters along with numbers 0-9 and symbols ?!-),.
Stickers
Not quite stickers, but thin plane components that creators can simply stick on a wall. These could be trees, words, silhouettes, signs, etc.
Included in this could be basic objects or creatures such as furniture, wheels, animals, etc.
In addition, if one of the hidden stickers happens to fit the theme, it should be added in and explained how it was discovered.
Props
Objects that are both interactive and non interactive. These could be cars, buildings, or special objects.
Costume(s)
Instructions on how to assemble relevant costumes and a visual of the finished product on a basic Sackboy model.
Tutorial(s)
A few tutorials per pack concentrating on effects that are based around the theme of the level pack.
For example, a tutorial on how to create a magic mirror for a magic pack.
These can range from explanations of glitches to walkthroughs of tools.
Example Level
A short level put together exemplifying how the components should be used and showing the effectiveness of what was learned in the tutorial.

MAD SCIENCE PACK: Jobs List
How about we all fill out this form:

What would you like to create for the Mad Science Pack? (Choose Only 1 Category For Now)
1. Stickers
2. Large Objects
3. Objects
4. Characters
5. Font
6. Tutorials

From your chosen category above, what would you like to create for the Mad Science Pack? See category limits below. For thermometer reasons, some things will be left out.
Work in Progress = Blue
Finished (Critiqued and Edited) = Green

Stickers (Only Use 1 Thin Layer) (Limit 5 per creator)
- Frankenstein head
- Mutated monsters...
- Odd rat
- Crazy mad eyes
- Chemicals
- Test tubes
- Brain

Large Objects (Use Multiple Layers Including At Least 1 Thick Layer) (Limit 2 per creator)
-

Objects (Use Multiple Layers Including At Least 1 Thick Layer) (Limit 4 per creator)
- Chemicals
- Beakers
- Test tubes

Characters (Limit 1 per creator)
- Mad Scientist
- Robots

Font (Only 1)
-

Tutorials (Limit 1 per creator)
-

As you can see, I've selected several from different categories because I've already made some. After we get going and people finish their chosen portions of the project, we can delegate who works on some of the leftover parts. For now however, please follow the guidelines in RED to keep things simple. Just because you finish creating a part of the pack doesn't mean it's ready to be published since we want them to represent top-quality work.

WoodburyRaider and Alismuffin reserve any rights to edit your objects. Everyone will receive credit where credit is due and will be included in the level description. If you decide to go lone wolf and publish the pack on your own without our expressed written consent, we reserve the right to throw leftover soggy apricots at you and pick on you forever on LBPCentral making you infamous for being the liar with your pants on fire that you truly are. Hopefully this won't happen and your face won't be harmed by our soggy, probably moldy apricots which are undoubtedly rock solid by now. We hope this can be done before the release of the PSP killing Vita, which strangely means "life" in another language...

Please, thank this post. It only takes a second to do whereas creating it took much longer. Thank you.

Just can imagine how they should look.

Wow that's an awesome list. Since you're the first to post with ideas, I'll have you start off the level. Make as much as you can, but don't overwhelm yourself as others will be happy to help out. I recommend choosing 5 or 6 to start on, and if you finish those within a day or two, you can do some more. I'll set your deadline for this Friday. Make as much as you can and post with what you successfully finished when you're done.

I'll add it all to the OP.

Hey, its me again! I just finished the stickers. However I couldn't make the Frankenstein head as a sticker, because it was freakin hard, complicated and you couldn't even scale it.
Here the screenshots:

And here you can see a mutant evolution
Now I just need to wait for Ricky... What is his e-mail?

Hey, I'd like to make a Mad scientist character, and it would be based on sackboys size and shape. I'd also like to try and make a hunchback assistant. If I pull if off well, it'll be pretty cool. I need to know what the deadline will be, not sure how much create time I'll have this week, and characters always take me a few hours each to pull off.
I'd also like to make a sticker. It would be a type of ray gun/ laser thingy, I cant really explain how it looks or the name.

You should also send him a PM (Private Message) to get in contact with him. Some people may not be comfortable with leaving their emails on an open thread so I would try contacting him that route.

finished with: laser gun like lab tool (sticker), mad scientist (character), hunchback (character, still perfecting)
I'm going to make two more stickers; a slim beaker and a fat triangular one.

Nope. The poorly planned plan was to work on multiple packs at a time. I think it'll be good though as we can release these current three all together and make a big promotion about it or something. Also, sorry I haven't been as active in these threads lately as I've been busy with non-LBP stuff and when I get time for LBP PSP I'm usually trying to finish up my own levels.

Alright. I don't think I'm going to continuously update the OP anymore with that since everyone who's paying attention to the thread knows who has the level. I'll just remove that status from the OP.

Hey, I would like to see the current status in the OP. Its better for all cause not everybody (like me) know's who's turn now.

Can I ask one question? How do you make the stickers? I just got it for the PSP and the create mde is way different from LBP and LBP2 create modes on the PSP. If someone could PM me on how to do it that would help alot.2011-08-08 03:12:00

As stated previously, we aren't actually making stickers. All we're doing is creating thin material objects using one thin layer and claiming they are stickers. I hope you like the PSP side. 2011-08-08 06:38:00

I think it should be published on the other account, because you'll take the others hard work, and you don't want that huh, Do you? :kz:
JK, just wait for WB answer, see what he'll thinks about it.

Well my friend... only I made the objects and they are on my profile. -_-
Get it? So you can see all my hard work on the screens from the previous post. So I just wasted my time? That's why I want to continue creating this DLC and publish it when it's done. I feel kinda disappointed now.

I just saw some stuff and I don't wanna keep you guys waitin for an answer.

If you'd like to use the things you've made, don't boast it as a DLC-U thing, instead just use it a new level. Heck, make it a series if you want, because if I remember right, you were one of the people who was really behind this pack in particular. Basically, I don't think it's worth a level space to just put DLC-U on your own account, so just use it in your own levels plus what Nys said about others' work if it is theirs.

I don't care who publishes it. I'd rather have it published then sitting in someone's moon while we takes months for it to be decided/ followed through on. I also contributed stuff into the copy doggy has, so we should have enough. Whoever wants to publish it can, but it should be just one. Multiple copies will split plays up, and may confuse people. Either that or we release it as Download only, such as real DLC. we could set up a distribution thread here for all the dlc pack, and either have them e-mailed out, or links to a downloading site. I would prefer my option, but will be okay with whatever goes.2011-09-22 00:41:00

No one person deserves all the credit for the level. Sure people contributed, but it's pretty selfish to think you or anyone else has the right to publish it on their own account. I'm not mad or trying to sound rude, but it was almost as if you felt your decision was final. But hey, your second option could work out pretty well and I could help set that up if we all can agree on that. Otherwise, if nothing works, everyone can use their own portion in their own levels if they'd like. Again, I'm not angry, I just don't think you thought your first option through enough.

Yeah the only thing I'm worried about is that other players could publish a copy once they downloaded the DLC. It would be a disaster because unautorised players could get the credit for themselves. More spamming noob levels! 2011-09-22 18:21:00

I personally think that everyone around here is kinda too focused on getting credit. It's Play, Create, SHARE. We're giving this away to the community either way. All of us contributed in near equal amounts, so if all of you want it on your moon, some will walk away unhappy. Also, publishing only the things people made on each ones account is kinda pointless. It's a pack, and dividing it up doesn't seem right. I prefer either option 2, or you guys be nice and decide on one person to post it. These are my thoughts adn what I see as best, its not a final decision or anything2011-09-23 00:36:00
