Snake v0.1

Archive: 9 posts

Hi!

Just picked up my copy of LBP2 and was eager to do something I couldn't do with LBP1! this is my snake level which is based on the game of snake on old nokia phones but with analog controls.

It's my first time with the new tools and I would love to find out if I'm over complicating things or if there is anything else cool that I can do!

As always with f4f I will give feedback for the level you specify in your reply!

Thanks

I'm currently working on doing multiplayer in this game however am struggling to get it to work, any help would be appreciated.

The problem I have is that the snakes are controlled in a separate area of the level by the sackboys, this works fine on 1 player but on 2 player, player 2's points go to player 1 as the score giver is activated by a tag sensor. How do I make it so that a when player 2's snake gets a blob thy get the points for it? Or would I have to reconsider the way the level works by having the sackboys inside the head of the snake?

Thanks

It was great. Although the movement wasnt like a grid (like I expected) it didnt change much. For a first level this breaks boundaries. I played this more than one and enjoyed it more than once. Great level, keep up the good work.2011-07-20 11:49:00

Just updated the level

- Multiplayer (1-2 players can now play in verses mode!)
- Points spawn more reliably
- Big orange point worth 30 points spawns randomly
- New sound effects
- Tidied up a few things

Hope to get some of you guys having a go and leaving some more feedback

Cheers

I don't flipping believe it! (BTW, I wanted to use a much stronger word than "flipping")

I've been working on a level like this.... same flipping title and everything

I just played your level. Your execution is very different to mine.... so I'm still gonna keep working on my game..... I didn't get this far just to give up. Might have to come up with a different title though (copyright and all that ). Good effort though, especially for a first LBP2 level. I'll pester you for feedback when I release mine, and we can compare

With regards to your score problem, you must have fixed it by now but I'll tell you what I did with my Sackleships level, because I was having the same problem. You need to connect whatever your current input to the score giver is (tag sensor?) to an AND gate. Attach the controlinator input of the player you want to receive the points to the other node in the AND gate, and connect THAT to the score giver.
