HELP!! Sensei's Castle and the Troubling Wheels

Archive: 6 posts

This is a repost of a thread that I started apparently in the wrong forum!

Oh My Goodness, I've been stuck here forever. I can get about to the top, sometimes through it, but GEEZ is this one difficult. I have yet to clear the moving wheels. Does anybody have any suggestions, or at least feel my pain here?

Thanks,

Is this the set of 6-7 wheels turning on pistos? It's a bit tricky yeah.

The trick is to hold on as it turns and letting go when it puts you on top and run to oppisite so you stay on top.

Then make flying leap to the next one

I read on another forum that it takes "a couple of dozen tries" for the average person to get it. I guess that makes me slightly below average! I'm not a huge gamer, but every so often I find one that I really like. This is my Game of the Moment.

I figured out that you have to fling yourself from the first wheel to the second, and then once on the second you have to grab a hold of it until you can run on top of it, waiting for the next wheel to align properly. I guess that I need to work on my skills more.

Thanks for the input.

I notice that, the short pistons take half as long as the large ones. So I usually get by it 4-6th try by just being patient and occasionally repositioning.2008-12-16 01:00:00

For some reason when I've grabbed on, I always fling myself in the wrong direction. I find it easiest to let go once you're on top of a wheel and use a lot of short jumps to keep yourself there as it moves up and down. It's easier for me than just hanging on because I'm never in the wrong place on the wheel when it's time to make the jump.

It sounds harder, and maybe it is harder for some people... but maybe it will work for you, too.

I finally made it through that level! It took a fair amount of time, and a lot of language not suitable for minors, but I did it. At least the, shall we say, "exposure" I got to that part made it easier to complete the wheels that move diagonally.

I rented this game from Blockbuster about a week ago. Tonight I bought an extra PS3 controller and my own copy. I'm here with a friend, and it's close to 2am (I've been playing since about 5pm) and we're working through the levels getting them 100% and aced. This game is freakin' addictive.

Current conquest: The Blue Fish sticker on Meerkat Kingdom.

Anyway, thanks for all the suggestions listed here. I found that what really worked for me was spending some time practicing walking on top of the wheels. Once I could do that, I could jump from wheel to wheel. When I first tried it, I was trying to fling from one to the other, and that did not work very well at all.
