Even though I just got the S00 total plays pin, I need to get noticed more. Ya know, to da point where I is cool, on da pages. I mean, I want to get on the cool pages, especially since I had a voice acting level that got over a thousand plays (in the beta). Help would be appreciated.

Hey, I can check out your levels. Ok, for starters, you want to include a link to your LBP.me profile on your signature. You also may have to do something that no other creator has ever done. You said you have VA in a level, that's cool, but you have to keep pushing new stuff on every level you make. Make up your own signature move on each level. Posting in forums and help others will certainly do a lot to increase your popularity. Good luck!

I've found a very large mascot suit of some sort can sure grab some attention. Most folks wearing those get noticed quickly! ..oh wait, maybe that wasn't what you were wanting. Best bet is to advertise your levels in the Level Showcase, get some great feedback to help you improve to where you are making amazing levels. Ignore the cool pages.. you will live longer.

Don't want to thread hijack, but is there some awesome bomb survival thing that got everyone crazy for um, I've only played a couple and that was enough for me (well, I played more but they were all copy pasta of the same 2... :s) 1 other suggestion (which i hope you dont take!!) Whore urself to the H4H crowd! Got my first rate down, figured I'd take a look at his work to see how awesome he is... Zero lvls published but 50 hearts... Yeah...

Don't want to thread hijack, but is there some awesome bomb survival thing that got everyone crazy for um, I've only played a couple and that was enough for me (well, I played more but they were all copy pasta of the same 2... :s) I think that they spread because they are so easy. 85% of them are copied. Another 84% takes 2 minutes to make(70% are both). Your better off not wasting your time looking for that 1%.

It's funny. My brother is a PS3 gamer like me, except his attitude is completely different; he goes through games in lightning speed, plays them once or twice for the goals of farming trophies, then sells them off again. Back when he got LBP1, he published a level that didn't look like anything but crap, very quickly made, in the hopes for getting a trophy of some kind. That didn't work out, but he didn't know what else to do and putting in more effort took too much of his patience. Had he known how, he would have been the kind of person who would take any copyable shark survival level and republish it. He is not interested in originality, creation or fame. Only the trophy. I suppose this is the mindset for a lot of people in the community (with perhaps the exception that some people do like to get famous, regardless of the lack of effort). I say, to each his own. He is a good person, not a teenage kid dbag at all, good at what he does and an allround fun guy. But in regards to LBP, he is part of a group of players that I rather distance myself from. There will be very little appreciation or fulfilment coming from that group with the odd chance there are a bunch of bad seeds that can't wait to get their hands on a copy of my levels/objects, or, worse, grief report me out of jealousy. I rather not have the plays if I could keep those folks away from me and my levels. Follow all the advice given above, if you want fast, instant and meaningless fame in order to get your trophy. /rant

If you're in it for fame then creating is not for you, you'll get more enjoyment and happiness from creating for friends, think of it as a reward when you publish a level, you'll give the player a few minutes of enjoyment.

there is no shortcut to be noticed on little big planet or " being famous "...we the gamers decide what goes on the cool pages. all those levels are chosen based on plays, likes, dislikes, blah blah...it isn't just a team of devs going around playing levels and choosing the best...obviously. just be yourself...make levels you enjoy and people should appreciate that. take a look at the cool page...what's on there? what is it that people like to play? what is that people like to go for?

If you want to be on the cool pages, it isnt all that difficult. Just follow the directions above. However, dont make it your goal. You create for you. And dont get caught up in trying to be famous. How many famous people do you think have sprung up anew since LBP2 came out? None. No one is getting famous from this game, because no one is playing this game. Everyone whos famous now has been famous from LBP1. Even those already famous are losing popularity; look at Lockstitch. Just remember where your head is. Its on your neck, in between your shoulders. Also remember who your creating for.

Mate I don't know how long u have been playing LBP, but u have been a member here since early this year, u seem to be clocking up a reasonable amount of plays and hearts as it is, I don't think there is much else you can do but keep up what ur doing and with a little luck ur numbers continue going up. It is coming across that you really just want those hearts and pins, in which case you just go ahead and sell ur soul to the h4h devil. Tbh, u don't seem to have that much to complain about, I could make my own thread and whine that no one gives me hearts, and what do I do.... Truthfully I thought about this, as I did join the community for a number of reasons, 1 of which was more exposure and that's not really happened. I've been nice, played many others levels, gave the nice reviews where applicable and it translated into exactly zero plays. I knew if I asked what should I do next that I would be pointed at the showcase thread, I didn't really feel like my levels are there yet and let's face it, there's no shortage of creators out there with more experience putting out nice content so why would I want to try put a spot light on myself, but one evening some random person played my level and gave me such a boost (review) I figured there must be something good about it, maybe I will showcase it, so I did here (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=60229-Yuuen-its-a-tree-thing) and didnt get much reaction, lvl is still in single digit plays, most did not come from this site and those that did seemed to get stuck with a puzzle, I've made adjustments and gave the best reply I could give and it's just sorta drifted into oblivion Lol, im giving out about whining, by whining >.<. .... *Sry* My point is, your doing fine, keep plugging away and if u just want to get on the cool pages asap do any of the suggestions previously mentioned.

Best way to get more plays is to ask for feedback or advertise your level. Asking for plays without giving something back in return won't get you very far, which is why we set up the F4F system. It allows something positive and constructive to come of it, and you'll probably learn a thing or two along the way. This never works for me, i usually get about 15views, and 1 reply. I even do others but never get the reply review... And to the OP, try creating something you enjoy, don't create for the aim of fame or lots of hearts. If you do, you'll find you begin to dislike LBP... All you get from being 'popular is 'invites, messages, advertisements, and jealous haters! Seriously, I had a level (the one in my sig) it got relatively popular, about 20th on the cool pages...I kept getting loads of invites, the first one i thought, hmm, i might as well join him, i did, he begged me to make him a level, not even help, just make him a level outright. If i get that just from a level with 1600plays, i hate to imagine what the likes of SBG, poms etc get...

I've played this since the launch of LBP1, and look how far I've gotten . I don't create for plays and hearts though, so nearly everything I make remains unpublished (and mostly unplayable in play mode :/ ). Of what I've published, I've mostly taken down due to them getting no plays. You can't expect to do well. Most everything is down to luck. I'm sure if my new level made it to the cool pages, I could get a couple thousand plays, but meh. You think 'how did that level ever get there?', but what happens is just that there are 200 just like that one, and only 1 of yours. Chances are yours will never be seen. I too think there should be something done about the showcase. Too often, a creator will forget to check for F4F. Perhaps some notification like when you get a PM or something, for every post made in your showcase threads. Maybe have an option when you post to notify the OP or something.
