What is a good clan name

Something original.

The best 'Clan' names are something that defines who the group are or what they do, not just something that "sounds cool".

I raced on two teams on Forza, it's simple enough to find a name that won't require you have have a load of x's in it

First team was called Velox Redux (VxR) and the second was Banzai Motorsport (BzM). Not that hard to think of a name, just make sure you take a clan tag that isn't in use by someone well known... I saw someone try to take VVV once, which was mildly amusing.		2011-08-14 13:16:00

Me and my mates aren't in a Clan - but when there's a Clan option in a game we always set it to C.U.R.E (if anyone can guess or knows where this name comes from then I will personally award you some XP for having excellent taste!) ;

Still doesn't explain what a clan would do on LBP.

An FPS clan can play competitive games. A Racing Team can race in leagues and hotlap, an RTS team can climb the leaderboards - what can an LBP clan do?		2011-08-18 17:57:00

I can understand in other games, competitive games.
Yet, LBP never crossed my mind as one of the games where "clans" would compete in.

A group I can understand, such as a creators group where people exchange ideas, but a "clan" just doesn't seem to fit right.		2011-08-18 20:11:00

Well, as others have said, it should ideally fit in with the overall theme and purpose of the clan you're creating.
