First of all, I'd like to say I thoroughly enjoyed this level. It's one of those levels that gets you emotionally involved, while providing much much more than just straight up platforming. You travel into the depths of an abandoned coal mine, only to find yourself in a hell unlike you've ever seen. Check out the link above for video/pics because I don't feel like spoiling the level for everyone So here we go:

5/5 ---> Appearance- This level actually FEELS like your in hell, at the center of the earth, or any dark place you find only in your dreams. From the beginning to the end, this is truly one of the best visual levels out there. Some levels you can tell were built, spiffed up quickly and then published. The Abandoned Coal Mine must have taken a week to polish, and you can tell the author enjoyed doing it. Simply stunning work.

7.5/10 ---> Gameplay- There isn't really a platforming "challenge" until you get to the boss. That doesn't mean there isn't a lot to enjoy along the way though. The plot drives this level, rather than a bunch of tricky jumps and timed falls. There are a few parts that are rather annoying along the way though, and with a few suggestions, hopefully resulting in a few quick fixes, this levels gameplay would probably be around a 8-8.5. Overall, a real treat.

4/5 ---> Replay Value- Definitely worth a second or even third play. Since the sequel, "His World" ties into this level directly, I wanted to play this level again just to get a good grip on the plot which, as aformentioned, is outstanding.

Overall Score: 16.5/20

I recommend this level to anyone looking for a change from the boring platforming levels that require you to play through once, 3 star it and continue searching through the "cool levels" feature just hoping you'll find something actually worth playing! That was a mouthful. But seriously, this level was a really nice change of pace, and with a few changes I think it's definitely in the upper-echelon of LBP levels. Great work xbriandeadx!
