Enemy Sackbot Logic

Hi everyone,
I am making an Assassin's Creed level atm and it is going to include guards. For these guards, I want them to only detect you if they are facing you. Any ideas?

Place two player sensors with the angels you want on different MC. Use a selector with left and right as the inputs. Put the outputs of the selector into the input of the MC with the sensors.2011-07-16 01:13:00

Well i'm not sure if this is what your problem is but simply just...

Get 2 player sensors and set both to 180 degrees. Then you get the sensors and point one up and down.

What is left and right?

The Left Stick so the last direction the bot move would be the way its looking or whatever you are using to change the direction. You could also put the output of the selector into a combiner, into the motion input to control the bots head.

Take two player sensors, and tweak them to 180 degrees. Then take the sensors, and connect them to a selector. From there connect the selector's output onto the Sackbots microchip2011-07-16 03:55:00

Captain Dinosaur, doing that doesn't tell the sackbot which way it should be facing when the player sensor activates. And also, how do I get it to turn left, the right in a pattern2011-07-16 05:00:00

1.Put the output for the Left stick into the input of a Splitter.
2.Put the positive output into the first input of a Selector.
3.Put the negative output into the second input of the Selector.
4.Put the first output of the Selector into the input of a Micro Chip.
5.Put the second out put into the input of a different Micro Chip.
6.Rotate a Player sensor 90* right and change the Angle to what you want the bot to see(180*) and place it on the first MC
7.Rotate a Player sensor 90* left and change the Angle to what you want the bot to see(180*) and place it on the second MC
8.Put the output of the first Player sensor to the input of a Behavior Chip.
9.Put the output of the second Player sensor to the input of a Behavior Chip.
10.(Optional)Put the inputs of the Selector into a Combiner.
11.(Optional)Put the output of the combiner into the input of the Left/Right Motion sensor(The Ball in the middle of the controllinator)

I'm a bit of a noob

Instead of saying your a noob, say your a NEWB! Bieng a noob is bad, bieng a NEWB is when your a beginner at stuff in particular. As for the guards, set a player sensor(Tweaked) and connect it to a command(patrol), so when you get close, they'll chase you. They shouldn't look at you as long as you have (looks around) turned off.
