Lap counter- end of the game

Archive: 3 posts

Hello everybody!
I need a little help for my level,
I'm building a top down racer game, thx to the tutos I've found here, but I've got a few issues:

I have 4 individual lap counters for each racer, the first to cross the finish line triggers an end game

I would like to link them to make somthing like this:
1st player-->1000pts
2nd -->800 and so on
and the last one triggers the end of the race (regardless of the number of players).
Anyone has a clue to make something like this? should I use an end game event, or kill the players and teleport them to scoreboard? (no idea how could it be done)

by the way I also need beta testers to know if the cameras work properly (not the case actually)

P.S.: Hope you understand what I say, as I'm french

Oh, I've done this several times before.

Just place a Tag on each of the vehicles, let's just say a Blue Tag labelled 'VehicleRacing'. And have this Tag switch off once the vehicle is finished all the laps. And have another Tag activate permanently once the race begins, we'll just say this one is also a Blue Tag, labelled 'RaceStart'
Have 2 Tag Sensors wired into an AND gate, and then wire the AND gate into the Game Ender.
Tag Sensor 1 should be looking for the 'RaceStart' label, and the second Tag should be inverted, and looking for the 'VehicleRacing' label. This should make it so that, only once the race has started, and all vehicles have finished the race, the game ends.

Every few weeks this exact topic comes up in the Help forums. Please do a search for some very interesting replies to save everyone some time. Also, the Tutorials section has heaps of racing related stuff.2011-07-14 10:34:00
