i usually go to create mode, get a a sackbot, big as can be, so I can see the detail, and go on it''s costume customization, and keep going through random costumes, till I find one I like. I then either save that one, change some of the pieces, or add stickers/decorations. DLC helps, but there are still a lot of costume pieces that you can get through Story Mode. Hope this has helped. What kinds of costumes are you looking for? One great creator of costumes that comes to mind (ahem... other than myself ) is a guy by the name of Redjackal... or Redjackal99 maybe? Try searching @redjackal in game and see if he has something that strikes your fancy. I'd also try searching types of costumes. Type in Girl Costumes, Horror Costumes, Cute Costumes, ets.

trust me theres no shortage of costume levels on lbp you shouldn't have any trouble, i think warriormac is pretty good
