I'm downloading the content right now, and from the looks of it (93 MB) it looks a bit big. I'm actually having problems downloading (GO HIGHER PERCENTAGE)....

(Edit: Silly me. I just dont have enough dataspace...)
(Edit 2: Ok nvm it still keeps getting stuck at 7% or 11%...)

Anyways, what's in this patch, hmmm?

The store is different, yes (and better). No more randomly spinning the earth trying to find stuff.

I don't see any obvious bug fixes or anything so far; local space cameras are still bugged.

I'm currently downloading the latest update, versioned 1.05. It is 93MB, and looking sure to be a content oriented update.

No word on the update from MM, yet. The update rolled out before we can end discussing about the last one, so I can say that was quick!

They had talked about updating the store, so, nice to see it actually happened. With all the new costume packs, its nice to have it implemented.

Looking forward to those. Really wish we could get some better create packs.

Of course, I would settle for them fixing, local camera, level linking, and load screens.

Oh, also, 1.04 patched something I would not even call a bug. In 1.03 and below, if you go into the sticker section of your popit, and go to the camera page, and take out a camera sticker, it would let you place it. I want randomizers fixed. I would have used them in my level but it was just the same pattern over and over... lame.

EDIT: When I say 'over and over', I mean when you unpause, undo and then unpause again the pattern is the same.

Was trying for a nice hi score in Refuse Ridge, managed to get in top10 and it didn't record -.- I'm stuck sitting at 24 or whatever the last one that took... What's worse is they say they will roll back to june1st when it's fixed, I hadnt even got lbp1 then

Don't see why they can't just clean them up, can you spot the possible exploiters?

Two reasons. First, the highest score achievable in your example level might actually be 16,020, and flyjumper cleverly cheated a score just above that. Alternatively, there's a secret area in the level that gave 4,000,000 points to the people in the top 3 legitimately.

Removing only the scores that appear excessively high wouldn't be 100% accurate. Like Rogar said, you wouldn't catch cheated scores that weren't excessively high, and there would probably be collateral damage with some legitimate high scores.

So MM decided to take off and nuke the entire site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.

I looked at the store. So, I can't see the content breakdown til AFTER I buy it? That blows. I'd rather see a breakdown of what I'm thinking about buying, not what I've bought. I can sort by Newest if I want to do that.

And, like everyone else is saying, why doesn't MM list what has changed? They used to have a lot of fun with these. Told us in advance, gave them silly cheese names - now, nothing. A patch with a number. Guess its up to us to figure out what it is. I miss the older, more open and friendly MM. Oh well, glad to see some patches finally come. Even if most of them deal with fixes for all the idiots who bolted their sackboy.

It's because it's a Sony update because MM is "moving away from LittleBigPlanet" (I am not mad at MM I'm just confused why you get to the top of the line then say "I don't wanna do this anymore")

Oh, I was unaware of that actually, it has been so long since I had DLC I was actually waiting for. I actually didn't use the store for over a year until just recently, that's probably why I didn't know that. And I rarely read up on the news unless someone else shows it to me. Thanks!

MM has not to do all together, even bit by bit would be nice.

And...I must check, but I guess that the fix for the missing hazards bug hasn't been introducted yet.

Maybe replacing the randomizer and republishing old levels solves the issue.

Should probably capture some of those deterministic randomisers for future use though, never know when not being random will be useful

Should probably capture some of those deterministic randomisers for future use though, never know when not being random will be useful

Ideally we should get a choice between "scripted" random and "true" random

I'm not sure if it is fixed, but when unused to use it, it sorted by recently published so whatever I searched I got mostly brand new LBP1 levels, most of the time barely having anything to do with what I searched

SPC = Spawn Pop Cancer I guess.

Also I still have not got hazards other than gas, I consider that a profile glitch since I think it's related to importing profiles.

I also have another profile glitch involving slapping.

So profile glitches have not been eradicated yet :kz:

Hm, if that was the case then it's been kind of the opposite for me ever since the update; there's been a sudden increase in the amount of lag and loading screens every time I'm with a friend who lives across the world. There was always a small bit of lag before the update, but nowadays it just randomly forces our sessions together to become unplayable. :/ Our internet connection speeds have not changed recently, and the immense lag happens at an inconsistent rate. We never know when it'll hit us next.

I've just reported these problems to Mm... and figured I'd let you all know as well. Since the update, I can't consistently record on Magic Mouths. I can be going along recording just fine, then for no apparent reason they stop working altogether. Quitting the game isn't enough... I have to shut down the system and restart for it to work again.

Also, I've noticed that we are back to only 7 sound effects in the Robot Category, as we were in the beta. All those wonderful new sounds are now missing from my Popit. I'm also suspicious that some of the Tools sounds are missing, but I can't be certain. I've gone though the other categories, but can't seem to find any other obvious ones that are missing.

Anyone else notice this... or is it just me?

I know there were a bunch named something like Robot Dog/bark, whine, yelp, etc. that fleshed the category out, and a few other new ones in there as well. I'm not sure about levels that had them, but I'm assuming those sounds just wouldn't play at all now. I sure hope they don't just render those levels broken. I'm going to go through a few of my more recent levels and see if I can find anywhere I've used them and how it's affected my work. :S

I know there were a bunch named something like Robot Dog/bark, whine, yelp, etc. that fleshed the category out, and a few other new ones in there as well. I'm not sure about levels that had them, but I'm assuming those sounds just wouldn't play at all now. I sure hope they don't just render those levels broken. I'm going to go through a few of my more recent levels and see if I can find anywhere I've used them and how it's affected my work. :S

Those are all the sounds from the Avalon Advanced Armaments Academy story level.. it would be a real shame if that was now inferior in quality dues to an update.

They're not gone, they're in mixed categories. Robo-cat is in Animals.

EDIT: Well, at least robo-cat is still there. Don't know where the rest went.

Also, the randomizers seem to be working right in create mode, but not in play mode.

Actually the Randomizers seem to be working fine for me in both modes. However I've been hit with crazy lag anytime someone invites me. After a little while it stopped letting me join altogether.

I just tested the Randomiser again - this time using the Pattern On/Off option. Still the Randomiser is generating the exact same sequence on every single playthrough of a saved level... I even tried publishing the level and checking the sequence, but still no luck

I'm using the EU version, whereas I guess both you Captain_Dinosaur, and you fumetsusozo use the US version? Maybe this could have something to do with the difference?

but then again I only tested it in create mode... not play mode...

Randomiser is still broken for me too, UK version. Could someone from the US capture a randomiser and give it away in a level? Maybe that might work?

I think that feature was in LBP1, but now that I think about it, I don't think we had the option in LBP2 until now, maybe it was just re-added?

It was always there but the last time I used it it showed all of the DLC the creator owned, not just what was in the level. Unless I just didn't notice them.

The lack of actual randomization in play mode is ruining my Level Name Generator. It's supposed to randomly put together words and it's the same sequence every time! Even emitting it isn't making a difference.2011-07-16 14:51:00

Seems MM may have to bring out the next patch sooner then expected...
with things like the Randomiser still not working right and with some sounds missing too...
let along so many other bugs still needing fixed...

theres ways to make a randomizer random, (sadly requires player involvment like lbp 1) simplest method is an and gate around something the player does to trigger, remember, that its very unlikely that everyone SPAWNS THE SAME WAY so... you could use that 2011-07-19 08:50:00
