Scary Dreams

Archive: 25 posts

Recently, I've been having dreams based on things such terrorists. I've never had dreams like this before that feel reeeeally scary when I'm having them. I don't think I've had a nightmare since I was a child (which was about stuff like giant spiders in the bath!) Last night my dream was about the fear of being attacked by a gang after stealing something with them. I just wondered if you guys know anythings that might cause nightmares?2011-07-11 09:53:00

Dreams generally confront things at the back of your mind that you havent b een thinking about consciously.
For example, I had a weird dream last night that was triggered by my friend telling me she wanted to play Devil May Cry 4, but her PC wasn't good enough.
Consciously I had put this to the back of my mind rather than confronting the idea by reminiscing. The idea stuck with me because as a child I played DMC on my cousins PS2 and loved it.

That night I dreamt that I was in a game (literally inside it), but the only thing that it kept was the video game sort of story. I was chosen as a demon/vampire/whatever slayer out of everyone else there (Who were all my friends irl). There was a tunnel to the dungeon where I was meant to go to kill the monsters, but I chose not to go. Another weird thing was that as the chosen slayer, I would occasionally vomit lizards, though that was only what I had been told and I never experienced it in the dream.

I attended school, and long story short I was hunting vampires in it's midst and decapitating them with my blade. (That part was VERY detailed)
Eventually I met my match. A VERY big guy who's neck would deflect my blade. He was out to get me and I had to escape. Dont remember any of it after that, but basically my mind was working through a thought pattern subconsciously. It was these thoughts that designed and built my dream.

But yeah. That's my 2 cents

I usually don't remember anything of my dreams, but I know I have them as my family tells me in the morning after that I've been speaking through my sleep or sleepwalking. And I guess some of them are scary, as I often "snap" out of my sleep and crawl out of my bed. I know I'm frightened of something but I don't remember what, and of course there's nothing in my room It's as if when I'm dreaming, everything seems crystal clear but every memory of it fades away completely from the moment I wake.

One dream I do remember is helplessly free-falling from huge heights into what seems a rural area. That I know I've dreamt multiple times.

Experts say that you dream about falling from high places because you're growing up/maturing.

Anyways, I always have dreams where I always die somewhere in my dream. It's starting to get scarier and the deaths are beginning to get a little graphic..... *__*

Hmmm... Cheese is a big factor, I'm sure there are other foods as-well which trigger bad dreams. Watching/Playing bad stuff can bring out nightmares. My worst dream was bad. Seriously bad. If I told you the full story... *shudders* :O But I have to say my best dreams are my running ones, big monster chasing you, lots of obstacles, tight corners and different routes to free-run. I love these because you can control them, you're not instantly doomed or instantly safe. You stumble, game over. 2011-07-11 22:12:00

My mum talks in her sleep alot. Once I went up to her in a half-asleep/half-awake state and asked her "Would you say that I'm fat?". She replied with "Don't eat so much frikkin chocolate then...". I was slightly offended.

I've never been one to have a lot of nightmares. Although I am a big insomniac. So I don't sleep much, even though I'm prompted to go to bed around 11 I can't usually get to sleep until around 1 am. Even when I'm exhausted. Too much to think about maybe?2011-07-13 16:23:00

I never remember my dreams. I just go to sleep and wake up in the morning. I only remember them if they are extremely short or I've had them twice. Once, I had one where a gorilla was chasing us at the gas station, and we got in the car. It got ran over. Also, one where I go into my laundry room and there's some kind of purple/pink anti-gravity dimension in which I can shoot pink fireballs. One where I get chased through a grocery store by a tall clown, one where I ride on a turtle down a water slide, one where I ride an elevator (not that interesting), and one where I fall out of a shopping cart. Those dreams are usually had more than twice. You might be thinking of something scary or remembering what you've done that day. It might just be hidden. If you think of something good, you'll have a good dream. BTW, have you ever just closed your eyes in bed at night, and opened them to see it's morning? It's happened to me twice.2011-07-14 02:17:00

Most of my "nightmares" are me trying to move parts of my body and finding out that I cannot. It's freaky. I want to move my arm but it doesn't move. I've had a million of those dreams. :/2011-07-14 02:24:00

I had a dream where hairy, reptilian, purple things kidnapped me by opening a hole in the sidewalk and dragging me in. Freaky stuff.2011-07-14 02:49:00

That happens to me very rarely. I can hear, smell, and feel, but I can't move or open my eyes. I can't even talk. I just squirm around to get up, though. After that, I'm afraid to go back to bed

One Recurring nightmare i used to have was my mother for some reason had my dads face, and my dad had my mothers face.

Their voices were the same as the sing Happy Birthday to me and shout at me to blow out my candles on my cake, and i would spend most of the dream searching for a non existing cake. Had that one a few times.

Also, once i dreamt that a bomb exploded next to me in my house. In the dream it was by far the loudest explosion sound ever. Crazy thing is when i woke up, my ears where ringing from the sound and that stayed with me for about 2-3 days.

Just as long as i dont see Freddy Kruger...i can handle anything.

I've had a dream where I was in LBP, and it had some sort of 2012 happen. Like, when I joined my friend (literally), the pod was shaking, and I was looking around. I grabbed on to my friend and we screamed like crazy. Then we were knocked out and that's where it ends.2011-07-17 00:15:00

My dreams are completely random, but they usually are supposed to be scary but end up well. I remember that I had two dreams with UFOs. The first one ended with robot maids coming out of the spaceship to wrap trash bags(???), while the second and more recent one ended with the ships destroying part of the city and then going away, followed by jet fighters.

I also had a dream where they nuked every city in my region. It started at my cousin's town, then skipped to my town and ended with it being nuked. In the very end I could fly like a ghost and see the aftermath.

And the simpler one was when I was testing a RPG at the backyard and accidentally hit a building.

Last night I dreamt my English teacher was brothers with my dad, and therefore...

...my uncle.

Scary stuff

Also, 'dreamt' is the only word in the English language that ends in 'mt'. Yay for random facts!

I had another strange dream where I played Portal 2 coop with four players at once. I remember that two of them were OmegaSlayer and IronSkullKid99 (they probably don't even have the game )

I caught my cat dreaming sometimes. She was chewing and sniffing while sleeping. o_o

Sometimes I have REALLY Random dreams. Once I dreamed I was going down a tube slide made of goo with eyes. And also once I dreamed I could fly (and it was awesome!). I flied al around Tijuana, and then I landed in the door of my grandma?s house, and everyone was in the yard!
I can only remember one bad dream I've ever had.
I were outside my grandma?s house, and a misterious white-mallow color fog was coming, I walked to my dad?s car and the fog covered me and I felt someone was grabing me and I saw a mallow colored ghost. And rigth after that I saw myself in my bed, paralyzed. And I felt like I was paralyzed too!

I think my mind blocks all other bad dreams, because that dream wasn?t that scary.
